warrior twink sword spec vs axe spec

hi.
im making a 49 warrior twink and have stoneslayer or should i buy executioner's cleaver
and go axe spec for the 5% extra crit ?

I'm not sure but afaik most people take executioner's cleaver or kang the decapitator if they can afford it. Stoneslayer looks like a decent, slow sword even if its effect is weak.

I think any slow weapon works, and it comes down to personal preference.

It is definitely awkward because above level 45 the only weapons slower than 3.40 are staves.

I got a guildmate that rocks stoneslayer and he does pretty well, especially if he's rolling with a shaman. You can't really beat axe spec and exe/kangs tho, stack a bit of agi and tear shit up.

ye its true i dont crit that much now but when sword spec proc's its amazing

i think warriors are fortunate enough to have a very standard build for the bracket. you're not going to vary much from the choices down to mortal strike and only have 9 points for fury if you put them there. if you keep your respec cheap, you can try out axe, swords, maces, or even fury. to get your crit rate up you can start adding agility focused gear and/or enchants. you also have items like;

Ornate Mithril Helm
Leggings of the Ursa
Gloves of Holy Might

my equipped gear changes around a lot depending on the horde's composition, and i use all three of those pieces (100hp x2 and +7 agi on gloves) for caster/clothy heavy teams and i love sword spec in that set.

Crispy in our guild plays sword spec alot. Total damage is comparable, and the burst is pretty nuts. I believe it performs best when coupled with a sham though where axe does well all on its own. The reasoning is that the extra hit from wf can actually proc the sword spec. It is very rng based so imagine an Enh sham wearing plate, and not being mana dependent. I would say try sword spec. It is always easy to scoop up and Exe cleaver from AH and switch to axes if you feel the need for change.
