Worth going for?

I'm kind of interested of twinking in this bracket, but I've so many questions.

My closest character to lvl 39 is a lvl 37 human mage. I have Tidal Charm on it as well. The original intention of choosing a human was to rep farm, it kind of bothers me now that I didn't pick a gnome for the racials.

is it worth going for a human?

is it worth going for a mage in general? When I inspect lvl 39 twinks on my realm, I see how pretty much every gear slot is a green BoE item and I know for a fact that e.g. warriors and hunters have like pure rare quality items in their gear slots.

People say mages are strong, but are they really? What should I go for then? Pure glass canon with Fire/Frost damage gear? will that even be duable in the long run? or should I pick intellect and stam gear?

Then last question... is the lvl 39 bracket even active on EU? I see lots of activity here by the U.S. lvl 39 community, but I hardly see anything from the EU. The lvl 39 twinks on my realm are currently focusing on their mains at the moment... and there aren't many of them either

In classic the argument can be made in favor of human for easier jump/fence cross. But if you're putting work, gnome is the best race bar none for mage or, well, anything.

Mage is fantastic at 39 and is a decent glass canon but shines more as utility. You can FC if your team has no proper druid or for repicks, peel, cc, whatever. Switch to dps gear and you're still dealing good dmg.

The EU 39 community is pretty active, check the pinned post for disc serv.

Human isnt so bad and dont forget later on down the track every man for himself is OP as shit

Human is good, fem human can do walk thru fence and perception is cool, EU 39 is active af atm on both sides.

If you have tidal charm you should def make it 39 mage, both fire and frost works, frost is more stamina based but u can still burst with shatter, fire more all around dps.

Everyone makes a big deal about racials but if you are a good player then you can play any race/spec and have fun doing it.

Try the bracket and you will have a blast

Yeah seriously, and if you really struggle with jumps just eat a Deviate Delight. Human racials aren't too important for Mage, but the rep bonus is nice at least. Meanwhile Gnome has higher Int, EA and is freaking hard to click + you get extra Engy skill. I personally wouldn't roll a Human but since my entire lineup of twinks are Orc you can imagine that I care quite a bit about racial bonuses lol.
