Hey,

new to thinking and the website ()

wonder what you guys think is the best starter twink to the 19 bracket? Rogue looks like fun but I doubt I’ll get many one shots off with how common twink a will be in classic.

I can play on ally or horde.

thanks in advance for your help :)

I myself am also new to thinking but I'd probably say priest is best all around twink.

lots of options but just go 2 healing focus / 3 imp renew / 5 less heal cast time if you are new to things and just heal / dispel everything while wanding to help get kills. dispelling rogues / wars with roots / novas / slows and enemy AGMs / natures grasp ect is priority always

I’m sure there is lots to learn in the 19 bracket. I know this is different for every sever, but how much gold should I be looking at spending for a twink? (Average)

Lots to consider when estimating cost. Class matters because some classes have mostly quest items/dungeon drops as their BiS items, while others (Priest, for example), have a lot of expensive BoE's that you have to purchase.

Enchants matter because the difference between the best enchant and the second best can be a lot of gold.

If you also factor in the cost of leveling engineering and first aid (and assuming you are doing no farming), you can easily spend 1k+ on a good twink.

Thank you all so much for your help. Would you recommend just running around at level 1 to all of the places I need to unlock? Like WC, Dead Mines etc and then quest to the lowest level to enter? Never made a twink where you can’t lock xp

At level 1 is unnecessary but your thinking is correct. I usually start to do all my quest items/instance BOPs around level 17. Don't forget the STV arena for AGM and Yojamba island for fishing tournament.

Edit: I play a priest. Not many BOPs to get for them. If you're playing a more BOP reliant character start your instance farming earlier. 14/15 is safe. If you find yourself too close to 19 and still in need of instance BOPs, you can always have someone farm up to the boss while you wait outside and then die so you don't get exp but still can get the item.

Hunter got my vote because they're relatively cheap to gear, and are very, very strong.

However if you have the funds, I'd suggest going with priest

I’ve got 600 gold at the moment and have a geared 60 mage so can easily get gold. BoEs are quite cheap on my server so I can go either way!
[doublepost=1588785528,1588785469][/doublepost]Thank you all

Shaman’s are very cheap on horde side. The only expensive BoE you will need is 3/3 leather bracers. 22 int, +4 stats, 2x100 hp librams will be about 500g.

To minimze your cost, go hunter. Most 19 hunters only train 4 spells: wingclip, conc shot, arcane shot and hunter’s mark. Nothing else.

You must also dedicate the s-key to backpedaling to maintain range from melee.

Follow my guide and you will fit in with most of the hunters in this community.

Good luck!

dont play hunter or paladin. there are plenty of those noob class hanging around the gulch already. be interesting please.

I mean I like warlock, but at 19 are they really that good? I’ve seen a few videos of full shadow damage gear which looks like it doesn’t cost much

They most definitely are. What cannot be overstated right now is how invaluable CC is. Just for Fear alone they are incredibly useful. The damage is very solid too.

If you're horde roll a hunter or something so you can at least slow people down, half your games will be against pagle or diggleworth premades. if you're alliance roll some lame boring class like everyone else, like priest, druid, or spamstring warrior. All they want to do is play some autistic version of basketball all day and not fight. It's the most repetitive boring crap lmao.

fear is really good. warlock isnt hunter. but at least you can have some pride playing the game.

hit 19 on my warlock today. Played 3 WSG. First game I had 42 killing blows, 14 deaths. Second game I had 12 killing blows, 0 deaths. Third game I had 35 killing blows, 5 deaths. Can confirm they’re good. Insane spread pressure & fear is nice. Just require really high awareness and positioning to play
