Exile's Reach Stayers

Yay! The "noob zone stayers"!
I really want to get more information on how that zone will work before thinking to stay on it ^^ Maybe more will be known with the Deep Dive and the Q&A in few hours

Also there is a chance it will be prison for new f2p toons.. We still no NOTHING..
we know only one think.. IF f2pers will be 10' we'll have NO TALENT POINTS

Even if F2P is able to leave the Reach, I think it would be fun to have a community of Stayers. We could do it on one server and make it like Aerie Peak was for F2P back in the good days.

And of course, if -all- F2P are locked in the Reach, then finding a community will be no problem :) Of course if there's nothing interesting to do at that level, like BGs, then it will mean the end of non-subscription twinking as we know it.

Well, depends how the locking of the zone works ... because if you can come back, it's kinda cheating ^^' (like you can come back to the phased Gilneas even after leaving it)

so far there’s been a way to come back to every potential phased starting zone (RAF with Gilneas/Kezan, Scroll of Recall for Wandering Isle), so potentially Exiles will be the first pure zone without such glitch :p

but it seems to be too linear to properly enjoy. Shame.

Count me in. Ever since they announced a new starter zone I've wanted to do a Doubleagent toon so badly.

My heart aches every time I realized I dropped the ball on this so much, but calling it a “Doubleagent toon” is a whole another level of being butthurt I wasn’t aware I’m capable of

So, I'm out of retail for a very long time now and would love some catching up, any more info about this thing? Is it similar to Wandering Isle (open location) or too linear to be feasible to perma-stay?
Ive played through it on the PTR, its a more streamlined wandering isle. I didnt see (but wasnt looking for) anyway to train professions or even any nodes. So if you're staying, you're probably just killing mobs.

Should be noted, the sets that offer "new-for-f2p" xmog looks will probably require some sticking around. There are multiple pieces that (as of current build) are random world drops and not quest rewards or boss drops.

I can confirm you are able to queue for the Exiles Reach dungeon (Darkmaul Citadel) after leaving the zone through a portal to Moonglade for Druids, Peak of Serenity for Monks and or a portal from a Mage. All classes can get out with the help of a mage portal. I'm pretty sure the initial mage teleport out is based off your race.

Professions are available once you get out. No content behind quests is available for professions. I recommend Herbalism and Mining for extra xp while you run around Azeroth killing stuff.

Mail and hearth toys do not work until you finish the last quest. Therefore you cannot return to the isle to explore once you leave the zone.

You must still have the quest to enter the dungeon in order to queue for it at levels 11 - 60

Since there are no herbs and xp stops at 18 (2 bosses in dungeon gave xp up to 18) 18 is cap if you stay on the isle.

Keep in mind that since we didn't finish the starter zone we are unable to queue for anything but Darkmaul Citadel. No other dungeons appear on the list. Unable to use Chromie-time to get access to dungeon system and quests. Starter zone toons can't Party sync so the quest to get into the dungeon is not sharable once completed.

NO QUESTS APPEAR OUTSIDE OF STARTER ZONE. Unable to accept Dungeon Journal, Bounty-Board quests, zone/invasion and item drop/profession quests.

Able to get into Darkmoon but no quests, not even repeatable quests. However you are still able to do all the rides, get xp/rep buff and get a sayge buff.
I assume no holiday events will give quests if darkmoon doesn't even give blue quests.

Exploration, Mining, Herbalism and Mobs are the only ways to earn xp.
decent % of xp per node.(% changes depending on level)
Zone discovery xp is about the same as a node. Moving through a zone while mining and herbing, killing mobs as you go, might be viable for faster classes. Hyperspawn farming mobs can get rather boring rather fast.

Xp from zone rares is wildly different depending on the rare. I am unable to determine why some rares give a ton of a xp while others give normal mob xp.

I just wanna point out how sad I am that DH, DK and any Allied race is unable to take part in this odd discovery. I'm sure we will see a few "Doubleagents" over the next year. Cheers to world first useless 60 in Darkmaul.
