US Epic Battlegrounds

TL;DR: Scheduling of this event has been put on hiatus due to lack of interest. Hopefully a break will rejuvenate public interest.

With the expansion coming to an end and more people playing 20s than ever before due to quarantine, this is probably NA's only (and last) shot at getting epic battlegrounds to pop.

This Sunday at 5pm (CST) we are going to attempt to make a coordinated effort to have random battlegrounds pop in the 20-29 bracket on NA side. EU has been able to do this multiple times over the past year or so, we should be able to as well!

Going to be notifying people of when they should be queuing or of any status updates via the Xpoff Discord, communities, and this thread here.

Xpon Horde community: Wv7GBZZTjK3

Its a rainbow :D

Will definitely be queuing

One advice from EU experience: you need to set date and time for EBG’s in order for it to pop, and que only EBG. If you que both, chances are, half of the people in que for epic BG will get into a normal bg.

If you’re a leader of a faction community, make an event in the calendar and ask people to sign up. That will help too

Anybody have any time suggestions? I would imagine early evening Saturday/Sunday would be best time?

@BOOMDJ

so horde is aware as early as possible! adding time to queue info to Message of the Day in communities should be done when this is concrete

there are also the 2 world pvp communities that have toons who are not in the normal 20s chats. i could def see some interested people from there too, i cant remember who runs those groups.

Great Initiative!

I was hoping that someone on horde would collaborate with me, I dont really have the footing on horde that I do on alliance.
[doublepost=1586740456,1586728985][/doublepost]So after pondering it for a bit, I figured around 5-6pm (CST) would probably be the best on Sunday evenings, and maybe 7-8ish depending on when wargames end on Saturday. Any thoughts?

I figure anytime after in between 5pm and 11pm would be considered peak.

April 18th after wargames and April 19th 5pm CST is what I'm figuring right now.

Edit: Tbh, would probably be better to just aim for the Sunday and skip Saturday all together.

Hey Zazzy - good idea. Added to message of the day and created an event on the calendar for now (Sunday 3PM PST).

@ohti - here's my btag if you ever want to coordinate some stuff. THEDJ#1570. I haven't been super active recently, but can toss any info in the horde comm for events like this.

I'll hit your line when I'm back on PC, let's make some magic happen!
