Seeing all these great names here reminds me of the matches we've had, 39s warsong gulch is the the reason I play classic and if we all want to keep not only this bracket but ALL brackets alive take your time and petition blizz to revert the change in splitting the East/west coast servers. They've divided a community of players that really do enjoy playing together and are going to kill our queue times with AB coming out today as well. Post on the forums, open tickets, make your voice known.

If I could love this post, I would

Rolling 120 on Frostmourne if anyone wanna run some 2s/3s.... lvl 9 atm. Priest also have like 3 druids 1 that's one 120 but no idea what Im doing at end game so rerolling.

I usually dont do these on the account that I hate them but in all honesty I decided fuck it why not everyone else is right? I feel good about my options I Decided on. Tbh If you play your class well and stay on top of objectives first and foremost.. know how to dispels/ decurse or heal mid fights properly, carry a cc chain on some one with a fap up without breaking it, interrupt heals / cc heals I mean you're the best anyone can ask for idc what anyone says these are facts! Just remember in order to win wsg we gotta return flag and cross mid with it.. Offense needs to respond Defense needs to kite repicks happen Just play to win every game and you're the best in my book for that BG hands down!! I speak for my guild when I say we love all you guys horde and alliance thanks for awesome games we look forward to some bad ass ABs! Dont Let Blizz ruin the bracket commit if things dont change. We certainly will. Sorry for the rant here is my list

Horde:
Priest - Jodecy #theonlypriestwhofakecastsonhordeside
rogue - Jancith / and some guy named Workz who I havent seen in a bit
Mage - Nilstiar If I spelled that right is a god among men.. he will sheep you steal your flag and your bitch.
Shaman - Enh/Alice Resto / Alice ELE / Alice.. Even if he/she doesnt play the other specs idgaf. honorable mention yahdude and woodzy for shitting on the bracket and drjokemccoy.
Hunter - Sogeking this guy gives me nightmares tbh I dare not even say his name out loud in Discord. Offensive is good as hell when he doesnt fap. His traps are just cancer.
Warlock - Hauntz. Wish I could list more but all the others sit mid spreading dots like aids in Africa and lose the game 3-0 with 46 kills and like 5 deaths.
Druid - Milk as far as resto and thats about it havent seen any others.
Warrior - Doom #1Period / Trolltrain I feel is overlooked the guys actually nutty. Halfstep ofc.

Alliance :
Priest - will fill this in once there actually is one...
Rogue - Macarthor even though hes a shitter in my guild really is no one else...(we gotta do better alliance cmon) jk love ya Mac #1. We have turn the tides just me and him against the odds countless times. Truly a great player.
Mage - Surre / Vatutin closing in 2nd not sure if Niltsiar has ally mage if so him 100%
Paladin - Ret / Myself first I believe is fair Followed by my eldest boy Halfstep up and coming hes a big baller! And a chap named untergang(not sure if this is his twinks name but yeah him)
Hpally / Maiyuri I feel this is obvious great healer and decent fc. Glad to see you on the good side finally ;) Also Buffadin Is really solid On a Pally for heals.
Hunter - Tojo For Defense Hunter Period... Scrub for all else.
Warlock - Youb without a doubt no other alliance locks impress me tbh.
Druid - Isuckatwsg / Sonic
Warrior - babys/Pain/Acronus(myself) in that order.

I don't even bother fake casting as a horde priest. We don't have to face earth shock, and the number of times I actually get counterspelled or kicked on a healing spell averages to less than 1 per BG, so it just isn't worth it. Fake casting a 1.5s flash heal just means you're spending a lot more time not actually healing.

You don't spend much time with rogues or warriors on you do you? Fake casting has saved my life more times than fapping has saved offensive's

Warriors are a joke vs my priest. And smart rogues just cc/stunlock me, so kick isn't really even an issue. The only non-instant casts I'm getting off vs a good rogue are during a fear or grenade when they can't kick anyway.

It's completely different on an offensive caster. When I played a fire mage in vanilla/bc, I fake casted all the time. But on a twink horde healer priest, it just isn't worth constantly interrupting yourself.

What is 120? Retail?
Don't like what they did with the talent trees dude, can't go back there.

I agree with you. I fake when the occasion calls for it, but I rarely find it worth it - maybe once a game. Flash heal is fast enough to catch people on global often. It's easy to time with a rogue's energy being empty so they can't kick (very few rogues actually save up energy). If a mage wants to stop me he'll usually just sheep (I've gotten CSed maybe twice ever). Priests also have two schools, so I'm happy to let people interrupt me high. In a 1v1 I'll just MC and now you can't stop it, or in a group fight I'll start throwing out my SW: P/Mindflays/Scream. The main thing is I just try to make sure I'm getting kicked ASAP so I'm still plenty high when it's over if I do - but I don't usually care if they kick either shadow or holy.

From the other side, when I'm on my rogue I don't really feel a difference between priests who fake and priests who don't. The ones who don't get kicked, the ones who do take so much damage while faking that it doesn't make up for whatever they heal for.

Yep. On other classes, it matters. If you're an ele or resto shaman and you get nature interrupted, it hurts. On a priest, even on the rare occasion where a 1.5 second cast FH actually gets interrupted, I still have plenty of other ways to use GCDs.

I'm really talking about when you have multiple melee classes on you, and minimal peels, As an undead you don't have to vs rogues with wotf or shamans but when you're getting trained by a couple people I cant imagine a situation where you dont need to fake cast because those bubbles and renews are quickly not going to cut it.. and tbh if you're a healer getting interrupted in your shadow spells thats just a big lol @ them, that kind of stuff would never cut it vs anyone who knows what they're doing. I probably feel it more because not only do I play pally heals but i also fc while i do it with half the enemy team on me. The whole thing of the matter about is knowing when to and how to, if you're wasting 3-4 seconds trying to fake cast you're already doing it wrong, you should never fake cast more than once maybe twice. The right rogue or warrior should absolutely have enough power by just themselves to pressure you to fake cast, one trinket on a fear or beserker rage and what exactly are you going to do but sit there and take damage? You could go for an MC sure but I do feel like that's way more of a 1v1 situation. 1 other person swings by to start training you now you're just taking damage from somebody else while you mc this other guy so you're forced to to instantly gcd for that bubble while you now have two people on you, at least one of wich has an interrupt ready.

My experience from playing a disc priest doesn't come classic wow but it was from 70s/80s/85s arena's. Though playstyle and class abilities were not exactly the same until cata playstyle was still very similar. Playing vs comps like RMP that mage and rogue are just waiting for you to cast that flash heal or penance.Though playing in warsong gulch is a very different experience than playing 2v2's or 3v3's, the concept that being pressured by multiple people with interrupts and them allowing you to simply free cast heals onto yourself means they are not the best of players. The fact that you're saying you've only got counter spelled like twice ever is like ?? to the enemy team, when i'm playing premades with dim and sure they are calling out interrupts constantly on healers (mostly priests) same goes for when i'm on my warlock even though a spell lock isn't as punishing as a counter and has a higher chance to resist.

From my understanding of a priest if you get locked in your holy abilities then you have no means to heal so having multiple school's of abilities isn't going to save yourself besides trying to throw out the physic scream..

Any healer who doesn't know when or how to fake cast in the right situations is a dead healer, as you face higher level of competition the more you'll be forced to do so.

Just one thing to add to Hauntz solid write up: You should be fake casting a lot when you don't need to cast at all. Whenever you have any downtime and you're even near the fight, especially when winning a fight you should be drawing as much attention as possible by starting to cast heals and then stopping and moving around.

You have to keep people guessing, start casting a heal on someone that is like 5 seconds away from needing it and juke around and fake cast it again and again until needed. You basically want to draw as much aggro as possible when you can take it, pulling out any CDs you can before the pressure is actually on.

I agree with all that, Hauntz. Premade vs premade is an entirely different ballgame, and I'll certainly fake cast when appropriate. But 90% of the time in pug vs pug wsg, it's just a waste of time. -Maltris

Edit: I'm also far from the world's best priest. In fact, this is my first priest, so I'm still learning. I did several WSGs with Sogeking tonight who can attest to that.

Seemed like you were doing great, enemies tend to keep Priests busy and that was certainly true for you lol.

someone help me level a druid and I'll play for em
