thorium vs 7 stam on shields?

It is a must have vs Rogue / Warriors, I think generally in my guild the warriors keep both; and switch out when they are facing a melee class. In a duel (With my Rogue vs Warr with Block) it does ~15% more DPS from the shield spike alone.

Does the Thorium spike work on a 19s shield? I just added the Iron spike.

Edit: Nevermind, it does. I'll be testing it out soon...

I have thorium on my shaman with about 10% block and it increases my total damage by 1.7% according to details. I'd say probably stam for shamans and spikes for warriors because of their shield block ability.

Isn't really viable in Classic as the shield only gets 1% block where as in TBC it get's 12 block rating which scales alot better.

what did 12 blocking rating do in TBC? im curious how much better exactly it is then vs now.

I prefer Thorium shield spike to stam.. But I have both.. rarely use my stam.. as I dont like to carry flag anymore.. With block spec on shaman.

not 100% sure but the rating increases your block by a lot more than 1%, it’s the same as the +12 dodge rating on AGM giving a lot more dodge,

and the stat difference with redbeards with spike is better than the grunt’s in classic :)

Shield spike on redbeards. Frost resist arctic because you’ll never get higher frost resist with any other shield. Spirit on ward of the vale. Stan on deadskull
