I just built myself a computer so I'm gaming again and will be streaming, I've been messing around on WoW a bit and have some questions.

is enhancement viable at 19? I've heard everything is.

Can someone provide me with a BiS list of enhancement shaman items?

Also can I get a price check Beguiler robes?

Thanks!

in the 19 bracket, pre cata there is no spec consideration. A mage is a mage. Not a frostmage neither a firemage. A mage with a firespec can do as much damage w/ frostspells and vice versa. What makes spec a thing at 19 on classic it's minor things.

So a "Enh Sham" doesn't exist. And there is only 1 way to gear it up with of course variation (you might prefer this over that) but overall everyone will look +- the same at the end. I think there are some guids avaliable on the forum if you look up.

edit for link: https://xpoff.com/threads/jamesbs-19-vanilla-gearing-guide.83959/ not accurate some things are informations from private servers so a few of the items doesn't exists because of corrupted database ^^

Shamans in classic seem to be the utility kings. They do decent damage, have aoe slows, can fc okay, can heal, and are pretty hard to kill. You wont do as much damage as a rogue or even hunter, but are more valuable to the team as utility. Purge is king. Earthbind is great.

to be honest I don't see an utility in having a sham in a premade. Since you've everything u need in all other classes.. U need damage? u have rogue/hunter/warrior.. U need peel? Snare? U have mage/war/hunters.. U need dispel? Priest? Heal? priest.. Everything sham does, there is a class that already does it in 100% better

for me sham will always be mid-tier priority in classic. Will gain points in later expansion tho

but if people like sham it's their pov no harm ahahh

I mean, your not wrong. Shaman does everything that other classes do too. It's a leather wearing pseudo-dps class that can fc better than a rogue and heal. Also has purge for added kill potential. Low CD interrupt. Aoe slow, which at 19 is big for assisting a fc or self fcing

The 6 second cooldown on rank 1 earth shock alone * makes shaman extremely valuable and should secure their spot in any solid premade.

Heals, slows, ranged silence, purge...they’re crazy strong

Yeah dont listen to ^

You want evocators blade with 22+ intellect or life stealing to delay casters. This will pretty much give you a full up time on earth shock. Plus you want a shield for the damage mitigation

IMO sham is good offensively because it can aggressively pursue/harass paladins whereas priest is more vulnerable.

The slow is AoE which makes it a pain in the ass to dispel. And if your shaman is purging, your priest can spend mana and globals on other things. The ranged interrupt makes life much harder for a frost mage/priest on D.

Shaman isn't amazing at any specific thing but the things it can do are packaged in a very annoying and disruptive way. I even suspect in the future as the meta evolves, paladin FC will become weaker as shamans improve.

I play enhance at 19. I prioritize Str/stam/int/SP equally and agility at 1/2. It’s very fun and definitely viable for solo que’ing. 2H with TCS isn’t very good. Skeletal club/stinging viper with 30 SP is your best bet with Deadskull Shield. Assassins with fiery for killing priests although it’s pretty easy for a Tauren sham to run through a priest. Overall I’s day it’s definitely viable for solo que’ing and premades.
