Consumables in general.

You said blizzard makes the rules. Blizzard doesn’t think consumables should be used in competitive play. Gj missing my point braindead boomer
Blizzard thinks consumables should be used in classic. You're on a thread for classic. And you keep insisting Blizzard retail rules supersede Blizzard classic rules on classic. Talk about brain dead...

If you don't speedpot, you are complete and utter dog shit at the game, too lazy or cheap to acquire speedpots, projecting your bad play onto others, and you likely started this thread because of your raging jealousy of people like Zhanger who maximize their character. Players who do not speedpot are a joke and a scrub.

Mind changed yet?

Think you missed the point if you think anyone cares to change OP's mind. No one's flummoxed that he's wrong. Just telling him why and watching him rage. Might want to read the actual posts in the threads you moderate to discover where the "complete and utter dog shit" line came from, might discover I'm just spewing back his garbage.

how stupid are you? blizzard doesnt make the rules, they are not some overruling deity, we are a small community in a niche part of a video game, if we were to decide on rules that MAJORITY of leaders/guild were for, then we can absolutely do so for competitive games. wake up from your one track mind dude, its not the stone age.
This dude really thinks everyone who twinks comes to him as some self-proclaimed rule deity on some obscure message board on how they can and cannot play. The supposed majority can limit themselves however they want; I'll keep playing the game Blizzard made and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

Another day another stomping of zhanger and his band of shitlords.
I don't even know who you are. In one post you're crying about watching me leave you behind because you're too lazy or poor to get speed pots, in another you're claiming another day another stomping? If that were the case it would be because your teammates carried your sorry ass since you can't seem to get a KB, scrub.

Yes in classic (the past) they did not but as time went by they realized that consumables didn't belong in competitive play. My point was that that is Blizzard's current view on consumables in general because you brought up something about following Blizzard's rules. lol either way Blizzard isn't going to be making the rules for a twink tournament.

No one was talking about your little tournament, we were talking about Classic WoW gameplay. Where speed pots are part of the game. Because Blizzard made it that way. Deal with it.

11 Pages, and going no where. People bitching and whining about other people policing rules. Consumables in random ques aka non scheduled/sync games you shouldn't even be bring up as an issue. Just call the person using whatever consume(s) heavily a shitter and move on.

Now for Schedule games and future tournaments,
how stupid are you? blizzard doesnt make the rules, they are not some overruling deity, we are a small community in a niche part of a video game, if we were to decide on rules that MAJORITY of leaders/guild were for, then we can absolutely do so for competitive games. wake up from your one track mind dude, its not the stone age.

^ Saxx brings up a good point, yes it's on us the community's guild leaders mainly to find a silver lining in the rules.

I'ma use Pokemon for an example cause everyone loves Pokemon, ''Smogon'' is a community similar to XPoff for Competitve pokemon players they have a higher up that each time new game is released or someone finds something in the game that can be ''meta'' breaking they run it through certain tests by having players run games then eventually have a vote on if they should ban or it not.

Now if you want get your nerd tryhard on, we can have guilds try and do premades vs each other with different rules till people find what they think is fair and balanced and what isn't. This can be from testing Magic Dust in games or Speed Pots or allowing up to X3 of a class instead of a X2 Class Limit etc.

Personally from my experience I think the best rules for Schedule Games / Tournaments would be

x2 Class Limit
Only Buffs allowed are those that are able to be applied by your composition inside the battleground.
Only Level 15 Food/Water is allowed, no Holiday % Food & Drink or Stam Buff Food.
Healing / Mana Potions along with Recomb,Bandages and Bombs are allowed.
3 Healer Limit! ( FC Druid/Paladin does not count as a healer)

Bannable Jumps:

Horde Roof/Water Mill
Ally and Horde Portal's.
Safespotting above Ally Resto and B-Hut.

^ Is all you need really, allowing shit like Elixirs etc just makes it who's realm is most cheapest and which guild has most gold along with who is thoughtful enough to constantly be applying elixirs / taking the 10 or 15 seconds to get a Food Stam buff etc.

WoW Classic is competitive play. Your constant red herring references to Retail or shitty tournaments have nothing to do with WoW Classic gameplay. Again, go play Retail or tournaments tailored to your laziness, but if you're in Classic WSG: Deal. With. It.

You keep crying but keep watching me leave you behind. Honestly you're not even a name I recognize scrub, so I don't know what this mythical losing is you're referencing. Can you post a video of you 1v1'ing me? I got all year to wait.

Since you decided to pull the names of everyone who has viewed this thread and want to use them as indication that all of these people agree with you, I'm here to let you know you can take my name off that list. The last thing I want to see is a mid meta as I'm more than bored of it after playing it for the last 8 years or so.

However, you're being ridiculous and over the top. No limitations of any kind and allowing unlimited use of consumables of all kinds (aside from speed pots?) is the last way to get people interested in a tournament. Not to mention you're being stubborn/toxic. I don't quite understand all the hate you've received since your return in WoD as I thought you were quite pleasant and had some awesome games vs you and zng in the 2v2 bracket(except for the gross sader stacking).

I'd like for you to reconsider your overly stubborn stance on this for the sake of competition.

I have softened my stance on a lot of stuff....I’d say where my personal opinion is today is to limit to 3 of a class (can elaborate why if anyone asks) and that more consumables should be disallowed than just magic buff....along with restrictions on outside buffs (not necessarily all but it’s worth a larger discussion).
Also I really just listed those people to illustrate a silent majority. Neither here nor anywhere does a silent majority tend to have a united position, but I’d say here and most places they have an opinion that differs in key areas from a vocal minority that’s trying to push their agenda. You’re far from the first person to misinterpret my intent about that post though.
i personally favor a wide open “just win baby” style, and just don’t want to see the rules set by the retail / pserver groups without others being included...and since I’ve been alone on the topic on the forums I’ve taken the gloves off which turns some people off. I’m also very concerned that the retail community will incorporate their exclusionary tactics by restricting things to a small number of teams which is essentially them and the people they approve of. But I’ll cross that bridge if I see it happening, as it definitely happened in retail.
