The US is definitely extraordinary, and the hope of the world to this day. The two benevolent super powers of the last couple centuries (Britain and the US) have ushered in the most peaceful era in world history, with the exception of the space between the two where socialists tried to gain world domination and had to be defeated in Germany and the USSR.
Best at everything? No. But best at a lot.

and yes, most poor people in the US are poor due to their poor choices. Maybe they got dealt a bad hand, made far worse by attending a shit school due to the unholy alliance between the democrats and teachers union that wants kids to fail to implement socialism. But here, you can still make it. It doesn’t take generations to become wealthy like in Europe - you can be self made here.

You are reading off a headline a little too hard here. America is the #1 when it comes to breast cancer, but far behind when it comes to for example stomach related cancers. It's pretty pathetic that whenever America is #1 you chant it like a true nationalist, but whenever America isn't you just pretend it isn't real. Go shoot some guns and read your bible.

I don't follow this all the way through. Education in the US is free through the end of high school. Not only that, but it also has a high percentage of college graduates despite tuition being criminally expensive. It's really fruitless to compare a truly diverse country of 330 million with the Nordic states. Apples and oranges, so to say.

The quality of high schools is INCREDIBLY diverse in the US. If you live in a poor neighbourhood, guess what, your high school is gonna suck. Even if High School is free, the diversity is just too large. On top of this, teachers get paid next to nothing which negatively impacts the quality of the teaching.

My main point was bad education, not NONE, leads to low IQ. I guess i misworded when i said free education. Rather, free GOOD education doesn't exist for everyone in the US.

Teacher salary is also incredibly diverse. It's not 'amazing' anywhere, but it can range from working class to solidly middle class depending on location and years spent in the profession. Not to mention, teachers get pretty great pensions through state governments. Where I lived (Phoenix area), teachers in poor areas actually make a decent amount more than those in affluent areas as an added incentive. Diversity of student outcomes is definitely an issue, I don't know if it's a result of the population itself being so diverse or what.

The US healthcare system is absurdly expensive and inefficient. I still remember leaving my job and asking them how much it would be out of pocket - $600. I said $600 per year, cool. Then, reality hit me like a ton of bricks.

Poor people in the US do not have access to decent health coverage plans.
