lifestealing on twisted chanters staff for hunter

any ideas? guild is telling me to put 9int and I'm just not seeing the appeal in it.

also I forgot to pickup runic darkblade on my hunter but any chance nightblade would be better than using the staff for melee fights?

How do you not see the appeal in +9 int?

Nightreaver (I think you meant) is a solid alternative if not just better than Runic Darkblade. Specially if you rolled an Orc who has +Axe skill.

I'm just not seeing the appeal in being oom. Hunter's not using TC w/ 9int are handicapping themselves imo.

Please elaborate? :)
Isn't fiery weapon just the poor man's version of lifestealing without heal?

Fiery: 6PPM, 40 damage x 6 procs = 240 damage
Lifesteal: 6PPM, 30 damage x 6 procs = 180 damage + 180 hp

Procs from both can be resisted, dodged, and can also be a crit. Both enchants are useful for different situations.

because I don't see how a little 90 mana is gonna save me much theres already not enough mana pool to just freely spam dump all mana using abilities 24/7, have to manage it and that's what like one or 2 spells in that 9 int? theres no avoiding being oom imo unless you sacrifice all your usefulness to go drink constantly which isn't an option while invading enemy fr most of the time.

I guess i'll throw lifestealing on the nightreaver and int on the staff and decide which I like using better.

Wow, you really must not care - it's 15 Mana per Intellect.

140 mana > fiery dmg againts a bracket thats riddled with idiot rogues that i can 1v1 in melee range? nah dont think so

9/22 int twisted chanters staff until u use up the extra mana
9/20 spirit staff of friar for regen
15 agi cruel barb/wing blade with furbolg medicine pouch/25 agi massive battle axe of the monkey for static

fiery weapon night reaver also good when spamming wing clip

Rather than the monkey axe I preffer another Twisted with +25 Agi myself, for better melee damage.

Int on TWC will do you no good if youre oon

Stam won't do you any good either if you're low on HP. What's your point exactly? Also as I mentioned I prefer it for the high melee damage.

You're constantly OOM as Hunter in BGs. I'd go +9 Int now, and switch to +22 Int when P3 hits. And honestly I'd just use the Int set as your default. The extra damage is not necessary unless you're running into premades with 2+ healers every game.

The only way I can see lifestealing being good on a hunter is if you are forced into meleeing because of a nova/hamstring etc and using it on a fast weapon. Even then I doubt its that good.

that's the thing if we're farming mid or something I'm just standing there shooting using up mana but most the time I find myself chasing a flag carrier where I've got the flag carrier, healers, and all the rogues/wars standing around that I've got to wingclip so that the flag can go down otherwise I just watch the rogues sit on my team mates and the flag carrier run away. Maybe i'm nmot playing right as I'm new to survival and vanilla hunters.

I'm aware that ranged is my best dps by far, I burst with arcane shot and multi shot need to be standing still for the auto to go off also, but because of the mana issue I have to consider staying alive and that means saving some incase i'm in a situation where i'm gonna die so sometimes im just auto shooting and just bursting at low health for the killing blow if theres a zerg on our team, to be full mana for the flag carrier inc.

Was there a question in there?
