Good morning, all! I am about to ding 20 on my spriest and I am planting her in westfall to farm that damn staff! What is the average time before anyone has gotten an epic reasonably? Around 16 hours or so? What is the best farming strategy besides group farm? I'm looking forward to hearing some input! Thank you!

I like to farm at the most south part of the beach, and i took 10hr. first one and 2hours for second staff.

I usually make a complete clear of the beach back and forth 2-3 times, then take a short 2-3 minute break. Wash rinse repeat.

I'm well into the upper 40s/lower 50s of hours farmed with no epic yet. Though I've gotten countless greens and blues.

chops im not in as deep as you but 18 hours and not a god dam thing. its completely random. seen a guy farm for 45 min and got it. dick

just some quick, fun, bar napkin math here but...

assuming a 1% chance for greens to proc epic and a relatively even distribution of tidehunters to oracles, you can except 1 epic staff for every:

- 28 stacks of clam meat or roughly enough to make 210 gallons of clam chowder.
- 50 full barn doors, assuming each broken barn door is about 2 foot by 3 foot shield size.
- about 20 gallons of milk in whats assumed to be 12 ounce glasses.

i just farmed this staff and i ended up getting it after finding 3 green ones

First one took ~25 hours. Second one dropped in 17 min. So random is random.

And lol Chops, lol.
