US wanting to get into the Vet scene

Hello, I'm currently looking to get into the vet scene and was just curious about a few thing after doing some amount of research. Which server/faction is most active in the vet/ftp scene as I am a very community based player and if i cant find people to be playing with it will be very unlikely for me to enjoy it. Also as a new player to the scene what are some of the easier twinks to get into for the first time for this bracket play style wise and gearing wise? Thanks for the answers in advance and if any guilds are looking for a newbie and are willing to help me learn id be happy to join!

As someone who twinked 19 for years I really didn't enjoy 20 scene. I found it wasn't very social due to account limitations and lacked the prestige of other brackets. Each to their own I guess. Why not try Classic twinking 10th December?
My main reason for not considering classic is the who consistent payment method, as I'm a college student I have some amount of expendable money, so I'm fine with paying for a subscription once and even a character transfer of my main character with all my gold if it means ill be able to play on a few different characters for fun whenever i feel like it.

A few questions in order to address ur questions.

  1. Are you US or EU (or even OCE)?
  2. What do u prefer to play, dps, melee, ranged, heals, tank...... if u give us ur preference we can help guide u with choice
There are a few guilds around, and as Vet, u can join a guild if u have a toon in there, or if u join while sub’d.

20’s r great fun. Hope u have fun making and playing Vets :)

I suggest you take a look at the 20-29 Guild Recruitment sub-forum to find the vet guilds that are most active. I'm sure one will suit your needs. AP Twinks on Aerie Peak and Teldrassil Firefighters on Kel'Thuzad are the first ones that pop to my mind.

I play on US and generally play dps, but i also wouldn't be opposed to trying out a flag carrier type build either(assuming there still is ideal flag carriers). Also I tend to not like casters that much as i don't like being super stationary, however if there is a mobile caster build I wouldn't mind as that is my main issue with stereotypical casters.

sounds like u would enjoy playing a balance Druid in this bracket

If u thinking of being an FC, then I’d say Druid or Shammy. Though for Shammy most people play Resto which is heals, but they still do good dps and are decent FC’s.
Both can get the Fang set from WC for a large amount of Int.
@Chops is ur man if u want to know anything about Druids ;)

for real, druid is the best all-around fc, it's a jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none class, imo, but if you gotta go fast, it's the best choice. shammy can drop a totem and gtfo with a quickness and gets the advantage of mail armor. hunter is fun to escort or just baton it to relative safety and hand off to a druid.

Bleeding Hollow is where most twinks and guilds are at (both Horde and Alliance), or Kel'Thuzad (Alliance), but unless you really care about meeting fellow twinks in the world or your server has a crap Auction House, any decently populated server will do. There's cross-realm communities where twinks form groups (there are links to join those in one of the sticky guides, probably the armories).

As for the dps classes, as someone who's also not a fan of stationary spellcasters I'd go for Hunter, Rogue, Warrior or Druid, they're all pretty good (Rogue being the most complete imo as it has both a spell interrupt and a stun).
