BIS gear/talents: 29 rogue

Wowhead does say requires gnomish engineering, even the screenshot you posted shows that, read it. otherwise those goggles would be the best.
So i will be running torturing poker/vendetta, and zealot/vendetta. I will put crusader on mainhands and 15 agi on offhands.
Does that sound like the best? Or would +5dmg on the poker and crusader on vendetta be smart?

For daggers you only want to mess with +5 dmg or possibly +15 agi (if you don't have ambush talents). Your proc calculation for a single attack with a dagger will be very weak, whereas Superior Striking should be worth ~35ap and obviously works every time.

+5dmg? I'll rather run fiery or other proc like lifesteal, unholy, Frost for kite / control when u are finally out of stealth..
Sadly being gnome for dead Ray is something such superior, that make them bis race imo..

For da Horde

In wowhead doesnt say they require gnomish eng.

Sounds like you know what you're talking about. Oh except that the Death Ray requires Gnomish Engy - only available at lvl 30. I'm sure you know best when it comes to enchants though...

here's another question about spec, instead of imp SS 2/2. what about 1 point in relentless strikes, then what to do with that other 1 point left over..
thoughts?

im not sure you guys have an understanding how difficult it is to remain behind any competent target in PvP.

yup it's been about 13 years since I have played a battleground or a rogue

torturing poker and vendetta

You might be right, but it's closer than you would think with the +fire dmg on every hit. However the Shadowmancer proc could arguably even that out.

claw and vendetta is BIS no matter is you prio ap for ambush or build more balanced. Either or this will lose to any sword combat rogue 10/10 times. Not saying its bad; just giving you a benchmark.

Also tracing back a few posts. I'd steer clear of going assassination as swords. Unless you really really enjoy missing all your swings. Combat has to much going for it to pass up.

I dunno about that, I have 15/5/0 right now and I killed a lvl48 hunter, 42 mage and 40+ shaman yesterday. I'll probably try full combat at some point but the extra dmg from assassination isn't too shabby.

Yeah the damage is there but that one gouge or sap miss can completely ruin an entire fight and I don't like leaving that to chance. Also endurance and imp sprint is crazy good. And this doesn't even mention riposte. Just too many goodies to pass on

Seems like we were all bad at math because there's really no way to justify Poker over Claw, even though I was all about TP back in the day.

ahah
I agree with you, it is part of the mysteries of that time.
if I loot it, I'll do serious comparisons with the claw.
