Farming PoD

Would you guys say its better to Run the entire dungeon or just back half of Ulda if farming Pod etc.. I've heard rumors it can drop off anything in the instance and also only certain things. Just looking for clarification. Also what method works best to do so? Thanks for your time and input.
 
I would clear from the dwarf boss onward. You're better off farming the gold and buying it tho, unless you like torturing yourself haha.
 
I only hit the back half because I can't run it fast enough to hit reset cap anyway so why not target the highest rates? Flameweavers have the highest drop for PoD and there's five or six of them per run. I make them my main goal along with the dwarf boss and Grimlok. Highest drop for Bushmaster is off is the Shadowcaster dwarves near the boss too (all rates are from wowhead). Helm of the Deep dropped off one of his adds for me as well.

There are some locked chest locations including by the enchanter lady that could be worth targetting, but I really don't know how chest loot tables work and haven't found much info on them.

Interesting Approach, ive considered this myself and have put it to good use. come up with a few rares from back half as well as making good gold doing so. Also I dont believe it can be looted inside the chests as they contain world drops and not zone specifics. But I appreciate the Input and your time.
 
You could probably reliably farm an uldaman rare once / twice a day if thats all you did.

I got 4 while leveling 38-44. 2x Pith Helmet, 1x Bonebreaker, 1x Spirewind Fetter

Mara is probably more consistent gold, though.
 
whatre you guys using to farm? i cant seem to farm ulda efficiently at all.

Feral druid. Stealth is helpful for targetting, but there's actually only a couple mobs you'd have to face without it for the back half. I'm pretty badly geared and facing the packs of four is somewhat difficult, but totally doable. Still takes me between 15 and 20 minutes to do the back half I mentioned.
 
i main mage, and am currently levelingg a warlock to 60 neither are a stealth class. so this is more a stealth class farm?

Not really, you might have to fight a couple extra bats or dwarves but it really wouldn't slow you down much, and even those have decent loot tables.
 
bought it for 1k gold instead. farmed it off the AH pretty efficiently lol
 
Bought 3 so far averaging 250g each. Those days are over though, as I see competing sellers posting them for 1500+ on the AH. Still, if I'm going to farm, Ulda is the spot.

Pretty much the same. Someone's trying to sell one now for 5 k on my server. I bought 2 in the first month of classic for 35g and 100g. Used one, gave the other to a guildy.

Could you solo digmaster at 38? I havent tried, thought he was too tough (Im a rogue)

They actually meant that you can farm blue items from Ulda reliably, not the Digmaster rare spawn, but I was confused by the wording too.

Your question about Digmaster though... Why? Go there on your main lol.
