I'd be inclined to file that under "too good to be true"... :rolleyes:

Could you imagine? F2Ps with access to every zone and every quest and every NPC and every piece of gear... and all scaled to Level-10 for easy farming? There's simply no way Blizzard™ would allow it.

...but then, what's the alternative? Trap all the F2Ps on some Pandaren-style "New Player Zone", but instead of choosing a faction at Level-10 you get asked to buy a subscription? Would VETs then get dragged-back when their sub expires? That seems overly-restrictive. :confused:

I really have no idea how Blizzard™ is going to pull this off... but one thing is for sure: EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE!!! :eek:

I suspect that this will simply be the "new normal" for expansions... every new expansion will be 50-60, and any previous expansion will scale from 10-50 (which sounds suspiciously-similar to my prediction when level-squishing was originally-discussed here). ;)

If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet that we end up with access to the vanilla content we currently have and maybe a little more (STV? Badlands?) but that we end up getting cut off from all expansion content.

i think he means all starter zones (FOR NEW PLAYERS/F2P/STARTER) in that tweet based on the images

I say f2play falls into that Exiles Reach criteria.... especially when they will be level 10 (or less) after a >50% squish.

edit- ewww… what if blizz makes you pick an era and stick to it from 10-50? Not hop around?? Very Blizz-esque.
 
Beta Testers will be crucial, but information should be more on the down-low. Meaning not posted on the front page.
 
Seriously... that starting zone is going to be a f2play prison. It's exactly designed for a f2play experience. Im sorry.

I guess existing characters should be able to hearth out of it or be exempt, tho. But it looks like a trial design IMO.
 
If you are stuck witha certain area that would be pretty bad tbh hopefully thats not the case.
 
Any competent design team would let you swap eras willy nilly…. but Blizz is not that breed. Concerned.

Anyway, F2Ps would survive and adapt to whatever they throw at us.
My only concern with that tweet/picture is if they'd say "sub required" to quit the introductory phase ...
But as smart as many people here are, we would find solutions to escape ;)
 
I was watching some shadowlands streams, and on PandaTV's stream he asked CM Lore what would happen to twinks. All Lore said was there will most likely be new breakpoints but he wasnt sure. I doubt they want to kill twinking
