Your Classic adventures!

Hey guys, I guess this is the thread to share stories and screens from your early classic adventures :)

I'll kick it off just to tell my first day and build on it in the future. As some might know, I decided to do a "Lone Paladin" challenge based on RS Ironman, which means no trading, no grouping, no ah and no alts usage. So far the restrictions didn't limit me too much - I couldn't even try to solo any kill quests because every single one had a small group over them, but I didn't party up with anyone and I clicked off all the buffs. This mostly sparked confusion, "why not party?" questions which I tried to explain myself and some people were understanding. There was one dwarf priest however at the Den Mother quest, and when I said no to party and started explaining myself he became hostile, spammed /spit, told me on whisper how big of a piece of shit I am and tried to fear the bear out of the cave to reset it. Thankfully I had HoJ and the power of God and Anime on my side so I dispatched of the boss easily.

I played 13 hours first day, and if I can give one tip to all you ally bois out there - don't go to westfall after elwynn. It's slow, it's grindy, and it gives you quests that are too hard. I wasted a lot of time getting just 2 levels there, which were mostly just killing mobs. After I made the move and went to Loch Modan and then to Darkshore, my experience was a lot faster and I had a lot more fun too.

So I finished day 1 with 120 skinning, level 16 and 2 gold. Oh and I also saw Lil Timmy with his White Cat Carrier, but I didn't have 60 silver on me T_T

What are your stories, fellow Classic players?

Yeah, Darkshore is the best, by far.

17 hours /played, just a bit before level 16 War so far. Decent amount of mats farmed. I saw Timmy, too. >.> I only had 45s at the time, though. Have not seen him sine, but won't be wasting anything on it, as I'm saving 90% of what I make for mount.

Tips for all:

Only buy skills you need. You can get away with not learning a large amount of them from your trainer until 60, or ever depending on your spec/class.

Level 5 druid. Decide to go to Elwyn. Die in Darkshore. Run in wisp form to Ratchet, catch boat to BB, run up to Elwyn. Rez at spirit healer in Goldshire. It ports me back to Darkshore. >,<

I died 20times on my way to gurubashi, came 4 mins late, was in safe zone and 5 lvl 15+ hordes killed me

Got to level 23 on the second day. I've started doing zones partially, start redridge, and do quests until you hit mobs that are higher level than you by at least 2. Then moved to Duskwood, same thing, then wetlands, then Ashenvale, then HS back. It certainly isn't the fastest, but it's fast enough, and I've noticed I waste too much time doing one quest with high level mobs than just completing easy quests and grinding in general.

I noticed that just farming mobs lower than you is faster than questing in general. :(

It might be, it certainly depends on the class, but sometimes you strive for efficiency and sometimes you just wanna have fun, explore the world and do different quests :)

That being said, now that I have my exorcism I will grind those skeletons and ghouls in Duskwood just so I can use that sweet ability

Was on my way to the southern end of the barrens yesterday and came across a gnome warlock doing their 20 quest. It was my first encounter with the alliance. I swiftly murdered him, of course.

Just craft my first blue item, second blue I've gotten in 25 levels and it feels better than any epic/legendary I've gotten in retail for at least the last two expansions.

Also, LF a endgame guild on herod horde.

I keep doing the quests like something is going to change... 31-32 I decided to just sit in the yeti cave in Hillsbrad and farm/skin a full level. Got a few gold, a ton of leather, and a level in about 1-1.5 hours? I think? Cant be sure, because it practically FLEW by compared to the 10 minute travel time between quests, not counting over/under spawn issues every quest seems to have.

Not complaining about it tho, I knew what it would be... just hoped to enjoy it more. Both ways feel like a grind this time.

On a side note, cleared WC solo on a level 30 hunter just to get the quests done (and the staff reward was an upgrade:rolleyes:) and it was all trivial. Saying, no rush to people that want to take their time. Even mid-level can get you set up ok for some brackets. Playing a low-pop carebear server is taking its toll on group-forming, it would seem. Not to mention wipe-quits.

I had my first WPVP experience today. (Not including my AGM farming encounters)

I was doing an escort quest in Thousand Needles: killing mob after mob, after mob...protecting this extremely slow NPC from other AI units. Around 6 minutes into the quest, a dwarf priest approaches. I noticed he was targeting my quest NPC, so I immediately rushed over to him anticipating some sort of battle, and he immediately opens fire and destroys the poor Tauren that I was with.
As soon as that little dwarf started casting, he had me to deal with. I purged all of his bubbles, hots and buffs and made him as vulnerable as I could so that I could show him that there are consequences when you mess with tink legend Jwl. The little dumdum knew he was going to die, so he continuously made attempts to mind control me off of the mountain, but thankfully, shamans can interrupt every 6 seconds. Eventually, I destroyed him; but he was never discouraged. The cycle repeated, and about 10 minutes later when my quest NPC spawned again, he did the same exact thing, and successfully destroyed my quest objective.

I’m not sure if any of you have done escort quest, but they can take 20-30 minutes without being distracted. Pretty aggravating, but I guess that’s what makes the game good & immersive.

Back in Cata........
2 coined up fearsome Ally toons rolling on their Choppers.......
WoWScrnShot_090412_231205.jpg

The small yet fearsome guild, No Prisoners had all but faded away, other than the trusty Iceháwk who stuck it out over the years.
Now, 7 years later.........
They are re-forming, only they are no longer coined up, but running the wilds of Teldrassil in their ripped shorts and white / grey gear......

And Icehawk, back in his old haunt - Darkshore........
Check out this head shot.......

Looking forward to levelling out of Darkshore and into Ashenvale where he hopes to light up some Horde.....;)

I did the quest for Varigan's Fist at level 21. Teamed up with another Paladin to complete it. We got wrecked by the horde at BFD, and again outside SFK. It was worth it.

Almost done getting Master Hunter's Bow on my level 30 hunter. Ridiculous upgrade from just about every other item available out there, strongly recommend doing the "______ Mastery" series given by Hemet Nesingwary as soon as you can. I had help completing most of it by the way of a level 36/37 ( dinged halfway thru) hunter and it was still difficult af. Good luck.

Hi, everyone. I am Buckeye, and I am an Altoholic. My paladin is level 31. I also have a hunter, a druid, and a mage, and because I rolled on Bigglesworth, I also have a hunter, a druid, a mage, and a priest on Azuresong for when the queue is too long, or when DDOS attacks take Bigglesworth down.

I think I might have a problem?
