UI inspiration

I still play inverted on the rare shooter I play. I think it's a generational thing.

I more just meant that like... ASD are keyboard turn and backpedal keys. QWE and mouse for movement and you free up ASD for good bindings.

Doesn't removing your forward run keyboard key limit what you can do with your mouse cursor while actively moving?

One thing I'll always recommend to someone starting their keybinds from scratch - shifting movement from WASD to ESDF. [...] Only downside is that you have to change binds in pretty much every game you play once you get used to it.
The day I actually hunkered-down and gave serious thought to "What would be the ideal movement-keys for me?" changed my gaming-life forever... but goddamn is it annoying having to reconfigure the defaults of every new game/computer I might use. :oops:

"I disagree with [...] this UI that looks like Grandma's couch"
I'm not quite sure where I'd land on this thread's "UI purist" continuum... but the few addons that I do use consistently are simply for things that I consider "missing quality-of-life functionality". ;)

I've also addressed any of my issues with the appearance of the UI by writing macro-scripts (which has happened often-enough that I've even included code to make the "macro-coding window" easier to read)... so nowadays I can log-in to the game from any person's computer, click my "Login" macro, and let-out a relieved exhale as all the various pieces of "Grandma's Couch" get instantaneously hidden/moved/resized/etc. :)

What’s the scrip to hide eagles? The old one I used doesn’t work anymore since it got updated. Thanks
...just the eagles? That'd be:
Code:
/script MainMenuBarArtFrame.LeftEndCap:Hide() MainMenuBarArtFrame.RightEndCap:Hide()

I have actually spent most of the time this morning to go through my Starter Edition account and restore everything to default, and than remap all the hotkeys. One of the reason I decided to make this switch is in preparation for WoW Classic, but also some of the outdated Add-On errors seem to stick around even after updating an Add-on.
The more I think about it, the more @Fat Al's words resonate with me... so I too have been "inspired" to purge all of my modifications, and revert the controls and UI of this aging MMO back to its original state.
