Please help me with planning my char

There's a mistake bro. This is the plan's link for Sulfuron.

For your profession question about Blacksmith mastery:
Once you reach skill level 200 and at least level 40, you can choose whether or not you'd like to become an Armorsmith or a Weaponsmith. When you choose a specialty, however, it cannot be changed unless you completely re-learn Blacksmithing from scratch!

//Another big thing is, most of craftable items require items which craftable by other professions. This will be a big handicap if you won't use auction house.
How is he gonna farm fiery cores tho? Imho almost all of that dark iron gear is locked out bcuz of that. Nurd is right tho PvP gear ftw. Prlly the best idea is to afk farm honor til r7 or r8

@inoobupro
He said joining raid is no problem. Theorically he can get cores, blood of the mountain etc...If he skip dungeons without party how can he reach Thoruim Brotherhood vendor in BRD. This is another question. Surviving in Searing Gorge, Burning Steps in PvP server for reputation farm...Too many problems.

WoW Vanilla was all about social interaction. I suspect Classic will be very similar to it eventually, once people realize it can’t be blown through like the current game is now.
People will ask you to group with them. They will throw you buffs as you are crossing paths. They will ask for buffs. They will give you stuff they don’t need because their bags are too full and their isn’t a vendor near by and you might be able to use it. (Why toss it when someone can use it) Bag space is a HUGE deal. YUGE!!
Some (many I speculate) people will just go back to BFA so they can play alone. Some people will just continue to do their own thing alone in Classic(for a little while at least) and some people will actually become a little more social.

Good luck in your endeavor.

The problem is he makes “rules” to do stuff alone. But is going to join a group to accomplish some things. That goes against some of the ruleset.

Similar to when the person said they wanted to do the “Ironman” in Classic but didn’t want to start over when they died. That is literally rule #1.

It’s their own “challenge”. Just don’t call it what it’s not.
To me, the fun of Classic is the interaction of people. In fact, three of my IRL friends and I have been planning on leveling up together. Some people just don’t like interaction with others. It’s nothing new and exciting. To each their own. It’s what makes us all different.

/cheers

If you're going to roll on a PvP server you should go dwarf for stoneform. I understand you want to ironman it but try to help yourself out a little no? Paladins are already weak solo levelers.

blacksmithing is a no brainer

all your(or most of it) gear will come from it

Talking about leveling or end game here? Only 1 piece of holy paladin pre raid bis comes from Blacksmithing. None for ret.

tbh the smartest thing to do is level with garbage gear

Do this is if you want to torture yourself lol, its very easy to at least keep your weapon up to date.

Here's a guide

@Turdel
BS is the only option for gear 1-60 period. (No dungeons-no Auction)
Pre-raid bis without dungeon...Possible?

If I'm gonna look at that char for thousands of hours, I don't want to look at a dwarf.

Maybe, but the rest is probably from dungeons which I won't do, so seems like blacksmithing (or maybe quest gear, if it's decent) will be BiS for me

Thanks, I didn't watch it yet but sounds like something very useful throughout leveling :) I'll definetely give it a watch!

These are all issues which you will struggle to over-come/make your life hell.

How about add another rule:
Once a week you have a 50g Budget to spend at the auction house, like a real rpg of a holy warrior visiting a city every now and again to stock up on essentials holy water and materials needed to complete your divine mission.

IDK I think you need to give yourself something to make this challenge possible as it looks really fun!

I won't do that. Goes against everything I'm trying to accomplish.

@Crystalpall
Maybe you should consider a class which don't need serious gear with this set up of rules.
Paladin self heals, survival abilities are cool but we're talking about classic wow. Auto-attacking mobs with a gray 2 handed vendor item...Horrible. So BS is deadly important.

-Hunter with beast mastery talents is so easy mode till 40's. Pet kills everything. Even players in PvP zones. You don't need a good ranged weapon or good armor with agility. Feign Death, pet, traps and shadowmeld(NE racial)'d give you enough comfort. BM talent's power starts to fall after 40's. Not saying totally useless, still good but not as good as low levels.

-Warlock can be another option but keep eye on undead rogues :)

I'm very set on playing a paladin. Also, if I can just do blacksmithing or quests, gear for leveling shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Hello again!

I got more questions, and because you guys helped me out tremendously I decided to ask them, and here so I don't spam the board.

I'm gonna have to get gold somehow, and with no AH it has to all come from vendor item sells. What would be a good way to get gold during leveling and after? I heard getting skinning and just selling leather to the store is a good method, but are there any other better ones?

Do paladins get the mount at 40 and 60 for free? And riding too? That would save over 1k g, so I doubt it, but just had to ask to clear it up.

Class quests: they apparently send you into instances. The level 20 one for Verigan's Fist sounds great, and the weapon seems like a big upgrade. The problem is getting 2 quest items - one from Deadmines, and the other one from SFK. Plus side is, none of them are from bosses - one is from a goblin inside the instance, and the other is from a horse in SFK. Do you guys think I could solo far enough into the instance to pick up these? Killing one trash mob doesn't sound too hard, but then again, I don't really know the reality of vanilla.

the lvl 40 version you just have to talk to a NPC , but the lvl 60 is something that takes you into stratholme/DM and scholomance

you are not gonna solo anything unless you are a hunter. I dont think you can just facetank mobs like you can in retail

then again vanilla mobs are apparently sometihng like 30% weaker than private server version(thats alot) but when I was "soloing" dungeons for certain pieces of gear I was struggling to do 5 mans on my own with 3 VERY geared characters(future twinks)

not with trash gear you arent gonna solo them(even with good gear it isnt possible imho)

@Crystalpall
