Gotta go with classic due to how much it inspires other genres I love
 
I'd love to participate but until your survey contains the specific niche of the sub genre into which my favorite band fits, I cant. Its simply impossible for me to fit my tastes under a larger, universally understood umbrella term.

Doom – Electric Wizard, Sleep (I just got to see them last month in Charlotte), Monolord

Bass House – Joyride, Moksi, Jauz

Trap – Two Feet, Oski, RL Grime

Reggae – King Tubby, Toots and the Maytals, Burning Spear, The Melodians

Bluegrass – The Avett Brothers (I graduated high school with these guys), Devil Makes Three, Doc Watson

Metal always holds a special place for me personally. Lately I've been listening to a lot of hip hop, simply because a lot of it gives me something relaxing running in the background that I can chill to.

My general taste in music is very broad though. I usually listen to a broad variety of stuff depending on mood.
