Hello!

While we're trying to be as tolerant and lenient as possible it is rather a thing of impossibility to live without a set of rules, so here we are. I'll try to keep this as concise as possible.

Whatever you do, always remember the following:

(a) Do not inflict upon others what you don't wish to happen to yourself.
(b) Your Freedom ends where mine begins.
(c) It always takes two to start a war.
(d) Actions always have (unintended) consequences.

Now for the fine print (or the don'ts):

(i) Do not harrass others, whether in public or private. Pretty simple, actually. Don't like John Doe? Ignore them. You don't have to go out of your way to bombard them about it at every possible occasion.
(ii) Do not derail threads. Again, pretty simple. Keep your posts on topic. Do not spam unnecessarily.
(iii) Do not derail (sub-)forums. Keep your threads on-topic. Do not post 19s stuff in the 39s, for example. Keep off-topic threads in the offtopic subforums.
(iv) Do not post NSFW graphic content. Super simple. No Pornography.
(v) Do not Ban Evade. Note that this also includes Reply Bans. We're pretty tolerant here so general multiaccounting isn't verboten because we're on the internet here. However, we will catch your Ban Evasion, and it'll only exacerbate your troubles. Just don't do it.
(vi) Do not post illegal things. This includes stuff like DDoS attacks and stuff.
(vii) Do not dox people. Again, we're on the internet. People are using pseudonyms for a reason. Don't be that guy.
(viii) Do not create @threads. No need to bring your private drama to the public. Keep it private, like Conversations.
(ix) Do not spam. Excessively bumping a thread for no other purpose, (excessive) doublepost/threading and other excessive diarrhea posts and/or threads are considered spam.
(x) Do not abuse the report system. Reports are to be used to report content that you believe is in violation of the rules. They are, amongst others not to be used to disagree with moderator actions. Please use the Conversations feature for that instead.
(xi) Do not backseat moderate. If you believe that another user is in transgression of the rules, report them. Do not presume to be some kind of a Moderator when you are in fact, not.
(xii) Do not shitpost. This is probably the least defined rule of all, and is in general only aimed at the lowest-quality threads. Additionally, violations against this rule generally do not carry further sanctions with them. However, we may prohibit you from replying to your own shitthreads. Consider yourselves warned.
(xiii) Do not publicly complain about moderation. I know, your ego's been hurt and it's simply inconceivable that someone could've taken action against your post! However, we would kindly advise you to calm down and think it through before you do something stupid! If you wish to appeal a staff action against you, please DM either me or a Moderator. Any form of public complaints will only ever exacerbate your troubles. Note: This DOES NOT preclude y'all from having a civil, constructive debate about our moderation. You may do so in the Website Feedback section.
(xiv) Don't feed the trolls. I know. We all love trollin' around after a hard day's work. But you can do worse than that, and it's feeding them. So just let people be people from time to time instead. Thank You!

Failure to obey to these rules will have consequences. While we're not on the Law & Order trip anymore and generally will not permanent ban people, things will add up. Also, Moderators are people too. When in doubt, they are usually more inclined to side with Alice who's never done anything wrong than with Kevin who's already got an aura of infamy from their previous deeds.

If you believe a fellow forumgoer of yours to be in violation of these, please use the Report feature found below each and every post. Thank You!
