What is everyone looking forward to?

Offer still stands, I just need time to creat income.

I offer this to you purely because even though I mained a mage I never truely learnt to play one until watching you.

Also I was thinking of people who used to play and wondering if they’re going to return, you happen to know if eldsparfray will return? Between him and Suppress I learnt fast how to play a rogue at 39.
[doublepost=1564351546,1564351403][/doublepost]Double post.

I’m looking forward to my down time on my rogue stacking intellect to lvl that sword, dagger and bow skill.
Thanks! I’ll let you know when I am playing. No worries on the income I probably won’t make a 39 too quick, too much RL stuff right now to focus on grinding WoW for me.

Haven’t seen them in forever

Neither I was actually reading a book on different types of minerals and he popped into my head hahaha.

Classic pvp is not competitive it's a shitshow lmao

No competitive player wants to sit in a sap or poly for like an entire minute, bgs with no timers, clunky ass pvp encounters where the outcome almost always relies solely on some engineering shit, etc. I can only imagine bgs are just going to be GY farms.

imagine entering this thread getting defensive only because you started playing wow post cata xd

I've been playing since BC.

majority of the peoples I've talked to that actually played during vanilla retail feel the same way about it. I'm not saying it wont have its players because I know that vanilla does have an audience of players that enjoy it but I think a lot of the hype comes from the newer players that only know vanilla from YouTube videos and shit

WoW isnt really competitive today either outside of like arena. Vanilla doesnt even have arena lmao. It's all just a game of who can sit at their computer the longest.

Have never played retail vanilla* my experience is only as far as private servers.

You literally cannot argue that a huge part of progression in vanilla is based on how much you play. People just think it's hard because everything takes longer and you need to take your time. Today's game is far less clunky and more competitive compared to the goofy nature of vanillas pvp

if you've played vanilla yourself, why'd you reference "the people [you've] talked to that actually played vanilla"? Na im just kidding, your observations in this thread clearly display your extensive knowledge about vanilla pvp.

Can I just point out playing pservers is nothing like playing vanilla. A lot of mechanics in Vanilla were hidden and as much as a pservers tried to recreate it there’s none that have done it perfectly. Mobs missing spells. Spells not attuned correctly etc. all these hidden mechanics impact how vanilla was played and the fill-ins pservers use creat all new metas.

TLDR: you can’t base your opinion on classic from a pservers.

As for the competitive scene with a smaller community The way I remember it is vanilla being a lot more competitive because you knew who the better players were so you knew who you needed to study and counter to become a better player yourself. With extended cooldown times and actually DRs it’s not just a blow your CDs shitshow it is in today’s game as most the time you didn’t have those CDs.

No arenas? Please I’ll be at Gurubashi running 5 mans on the daily.

Vanilla was a fun game but PVP was a sideshow for a game that was unapologetically built around pve.

Nobody REALLY wants two hour WSGs and shit. Day long AVs were amusing. Once. The vast VAST majority of people (including people on this site) are gonna scratch their nostalgia itch and then realize how much they actually like alot of the quality of life changes bliz made to pvp.

Not to bee a sadist, but I'm looking forward to (more-so predicting)
Blizzard changing the way pvp and leveling works so that no person can keep a twink without it leveling in bgs, regardless of winning or completing the game. I can almost guarantee you that twinks won't last too long in classic. I'd be happy to be wrong

See I don’t know about that. Sure something have changed in a good direction but there have also been a lot of bad changes that I’m sure people will equally be welcoming of.

Being able to gear a character and jump right into PvP instead of having to aim 6 or so options to get a feeling if that 5 intellect is worth giving up that 30 Vers etc. By over simplifying gear Blizz have made it more complicated.

You have far more class balance in PvP then you go at the moment. No more resto druids running high heals and top damage. Unless you’re loaded with gold GL running a hunter to it’s full capacity and spamming aimed shot. You want that burst damage you pass up on survivability.

Classes are not dulled down to a point where in the next xpack I honestly believe Blizz should just scrap the class system and have 1 class.

The Speccing (this is just my opinion) is far better and gives you a far greater variety of classes.

You want that pre r10 PvP epics you better grind the correct BG instead of being given a pity epic to a point you don’t feel like you’re progressing a head of anyone because it literally comes down to luck now.

No timers in BGs and resource caps a lot higher can swing either way. WSG Premade will no longer be a shit show where you Zerg the flag get the cap first and turtle the rest of the game. However you will also get those Premade v pug games where people turtle the FC and farm killls hours on end. A longer BG in my opinion I do see both sides to this one is a good thing, maybe people will learn the BG, it still amazes me how many people I run into that don’t even know Lolholar(spelling?) is even apart of AV let alone what he looks like.

I can go back and forth with the argument of classic vs current but it becomes redundant and you realise they’re completely different games now.

Current and classic both have their pros and cons but I’m on side classic.

I’m not saying Classic is the best game ever to be release I’m just saying it’s closer to the game I fell in love with than current is currently.

To be honest The Burning Crusade for me was far better than Classic.

TBC was the best version of WoW and I'll hear no arguments to the contrary.
Just to be a dick BfA is the best version of WoW. Prove my new opinion wrong!!!!!!

Actually it’s a tie between BfA and WoD.

XP wasn’t on for bg’s in vanilla or even afterward for awhile really. So, no.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH

quality of life changes
I think some of these changes killed classes. Giving everything to every class was a big mistake. CC, AoE, Burst, off-heals... For example, Death Knight was the first mistake. 2hander tank with shit tons of damage potential. MoP Holy Paladin had spammable fear. So stupid... People cried at forums and Blizzard gave them what they've wanted.

Giving epic gear to everyone was the second big mistake. This changed the game quality for casuals. True, but Epics are not a big reward anymore. Soul had gone. AV became go go go rush and kill boss. What a big quality of life change... World PvP? Rush to the end game. Who cares World PvP?

That's not at all what I meant by "quality of life" changes but yes, DKs were a huge mistake

Do me a favour next time you’re in AV suggest summoning the Ice Lord and be baffled at how many people don’t know who he is.
