EU Thoughts on my Lock

hom

Grandfathered
Hey,

New to the bracket. Please critique my lock below:

Still trying to farm the epic chest - not an easy item to farm.

Cape of the Brotherhood

Leech Pants

Defending Champion

Slime-Encrusted Pads

The above are all the items i still need to acquire, if you know alternatives or better options please let me know.
Character : Xoiri

Please let me know if there are better enchants to look for.
Torn over 9 spellpower on wep vs elemental force.
I like to play affliction and demonology.

I believe Pheonix Pants would be the better option. Especially if you get them trade bugged.
they dont need to be trade bugged
They seem to be the go-to. Maybe because of how the item scales inside BG?
kind of but there are betters

I'm just going to make a full list of upgrade potential that I can see and you can go from there

HELM: Your helm is fine, unless you want to go for a heavier vers build then there are some roles that can give higher vers. I wouldn't stress about green lens rolls thats sorta min maxing your toon, you can worry about that later
NECK: bis
SHOULDERS: if you can trade glitch you can get the Slime Encrusted Pads, but since this isn't feasible for everyone your best bet would be aurora shoulders from the swords deck with +2 stamina on them, they can roll 3/5
CLOAK: You can get a 2/3 dungeon cloak or just farm cape of the brotherhood. Or stick to the 3/2 one if you want more haste
CHEST: you already got the right idea, get that but purple
BRACERS: same deal as the cloak, dungeon bracers can go 2/3. For your enchant, i'd go with +4 stamina for more survivability
WEAPON: bis
GLOVES: bis would be 28 magefist, but since again thats not rly feasible for everyone you could go with a scaled greenweave gloves of the aurora with +7 stam enchant. If you can't find a pair of these you could also use phoenix gloves with +7 stam. generally for vets you really wanna find a way to use those glove reinforcements
BELT: your belt is fine
LEGS: Phoenix pants are the easiest effective piece to use. If you can get your hands on a pagan britches of the aurora scaled thats even better though. some rolls you'd want with those pants would be 3/6 or 5/5. Throw ironscale leg armor on them for extra survivability. These dont need to be trade glitched and you can just apply ironscale on a high lvl toon
BOOTS: yours are actually pretty much bis other than maybe like bg rare of the adaptable. I would throw earthen vitality, tuskarr vitality, or boar's speed on them over +2 vers. All 3 I listed do the same thing so just figure out which ones cheaper.
RING 1: I'd go for a dungeon ring of the aurora 2/3, then wait for a bg ring of the aurora 1/4. the dungeon ones just aren't very good on casters
RING 2: bis
TRINKET 1
: get battle hymnal if you can help it, this is sorta min maxing but the +5 haste can help in team fights.
TRINKET 2: Get one of the champion trinkets. This combod with the battle hymnal would be bis trinkets. However these can be hard to get for some so the +6 mana ones are fine. Might be worth swapping trinkets around with the stam ones situationally.

Thanks - So Leech Pants would be bis with trade bug.

Helm - Yeah I tried until all the medium leather was out on the AH :/ unfortunately this was the best i got.
Shoulders - that's the plan if i find anyone with the correct enchant willing to help

Any thoughts on we enchant for affliction/demo?
refresh your page I didn't mean to post that so quick lol

technically leech pants with trade aren't actually rly bis, but they're really damn close, so if you can find a trade bug then do it

best legs would be perfect pagan britches

if your enchant was wrong I also brought it up, if I didn't bring it up then the enchant for that slot is fine.

the only thing I can't see for sure if you're doing is using binding of versatility ring enchants. use those as they give +2 in bgs

Amazing, thank you for this!

There's some clear upgrades here but also looks like a great tanky build too with all the stam enchants. I guess it does more for a warlock than the slightly higher damage.
I'll probably end up putting two sets together, one damage and one survivability, see which works better in battlegrounds.

I'd love to get that trinket but I don't really play end level & it's all far too confusing for me to get to grips with. I'll just try my luck at the defending trinket (Is this impossible to do on a level 20 lock without waking up at 3am & 6am for the spawn)?

Rings - I have the dungeon ring but would love the vers heavy ring from battlegrounds.

thank you again for the advice.

Yes they do. Spellthreads bind items.
real clothies use ironscale

must be done on a lvl 30+ toon

yeah you can go for a full vers int dmg heavy set, only reason I recommend a more stamina driven build is locks don't do top tier dmg to begin with so their most effective role is a tanky fear spamming utility monster

not to say you wont do damage, i'd say they're mid tier, but like you aren't no mage or priest. Destro in particular has the best burst of the 3 specs I believe.

I'm determined to prove this wrong.

Level 30+ toon for the trinket? Is this because the achievement requires level 30?

yes you need to have the agm if i'm not mistaken

the loom trinket will be in your 13th chest

Your gear looks great.

Personally I prefer the Krom'gar Champions shoulders but it's not a biggie.

Also yeah spellpower is a good weap enchant choice.
