F2P Faction Imbalance

are we talking EU or US?

EU is broken. 15 to 30 mins waiting on alliance. 2-5 min waiting on Horde 90% loss, because almost all Premades on alliance side or at least partly premade.

US is pretty much fun. At least at European Primetime, which is US early in the morning. 4 min waiting time very balanced victory / loss ratio.

I have no interest in F2P. F2P equals, "freeloading on the backs of customers that pay". I don't know what blizziod was thinking when they opened the flood gates to these freeloaders. I suspect they thought there were going to be some, "marketing gains" down the road... bad decision blizziod! All you accomplished was creating a monster!

My name is not "Blizziod"!

What they should do is put the f2p players at 20 into the xp-off bracket.
I personally would prefer that, twink vs twink is where it’s at. It seems this day and age with heirloom/dungeon/epic quest gear that the main difference is enchants people get from outside of f2p limitations.

I also prefer a challenge, maybe not being facerolled by a team of druids healbotting a war or something though.

I personally can’t wait for a remake of BC that’s where the golden years of the 29’s were at.

i think the reason blizzard put F2P now in XP on, it's because alot of F2P players are new potential players testing out the game. placing new to WOW first time players into a bracket like when it was 20-29 or 20-24 getting two shot by twinks, is not good either for attracting new customers.

yes they face vet20's who are twinked, it's still not as bad as facing a 29 who is fully twinked.

Can only lol at alliance players rolling up here with their big eyes on, to say they don't see a problem. I bet they don't! xD Think Horde has now lost 19 out of the last 20 games I've been in, US/Oceanic side.
And while, yes, I am the only constant, and therefore it might *all* be my fault, it's not normal.

Yes, you might be right. I dunno. I was also possibly exaggerating, I haven't kept an actual record. If I was a more organised person I'd keep a record instead of relying on subjective/gut feeling. But then I'd have to be... someone else..!

it comes in fits and starts. we arent seeing much horde this evening. Saw a lot earlier.

Either way, uh... make some horde tinks!

I'm 6 losses for 7 games so far today. And only one of those losses wasn't embarrassing. My toes may never uncurl.

i played 25 games in the past 2 days as horde, 2/23. imma keep track to 100 and see what the ratio is, not looking to good though, just got 4 capped in eots and 5 capped in ab, spawn camped in both. lovin it

Vengeance for Teldrassil.
Surely :D and i'd like too ;)

if you want stats that mean something, you'd have to make more than 100 bg because the "balance" is something related to an instant ... play at different times, during different days, on multiple weeks ...

idk i think 100 would give a very accurate rep. of how it is. i play mornings, evenings, weekends. Did chuck out a win last night late though, so 3w 28l as horde

I feel like these type of threads get written after someone has a bad day out.
It's honestly swings and roundabouts.
I'd say long term average, it's 50 : 50.
I only play Ally, and some nights it's really good, with some cool hard fought wins and losses. Other nights, Ally just dominates and I win every bg. Then again, on still other nights, Horde just mop the floor with Ally and after like 5 or 6 losses in a row, I feel like hurling my computer at the wall.
On those unlucky nights, yeah it sux, but it certainly doesn't happen all the time. When it's one of those sucky nights, I just start to look for the nastiest Horde dude and make it my mission to send him/her back to the GY :p
Just the other night, I was so proud of myself. We lost, not a complete thrashing, but I could see us on the road to a loss, and I noticed some Horde Marks Hunter doing a John Wick and just annihilating everyone. But as he got to 19 - 0, I managed to drop him to make him 19 - 1, so no Wrecking Ball that night for poor old Horde Huntard........
There is a silver lining even in bg losses ;)

FYI, my Hunters PvP specs.......

Not far off 50% long term average? Slightly up on 50%, but not the one-sided story that this thread is portraying. Check out anyone that's done a lot of bg's and you'll find a similar story. :)
