Iconic: Lucky Fishing Hat, Shadowfang, Talbar Mantle, Sentry Cloak, Arena Grand Master, Inferno Robe
Influential (to what extent?): Enti's Quenched Sword, cata satchels, MoP cloak enchants, Felforged, Common Legion Blade, Brewfest Steins, items from BFA rares.
Unique: TCG items (tabards, flag of ownerships etc.), Precious Ribbon, Haunted Memento, Formal Dangui and other random items.

I still have some of that stowed away on a 29 (alongside my Crescent of Forlorn Spirits).
This, right here. Some items augmented the impact for a class or playstyle (PoD, spellshocks, marbled buckler, crescent of forlorn spirits, Razzerik's), and some transcended class and playstyle to become a staple of the bracket (LFH, AGM, green lenses, Rocket boots for 59s). But a select few, like the Formal Dangui, were responsible for making certain twinks worth building in the first place.
