Best class to main to help boost/gear/form for your twinks?

Hey guys.

What's your guy's opinion on a class to main on my second account to help boost dungeons and help gear my twinks and my friend's twinks? Thanks for any feedback, much love.

I was personally considering Lock, Priest, Mage, or Hunter, but I can't decide.

Hunter, only because in Classic pretty much everything WAS usable by Hunters. Means gearing THAT Toon should be faster
You can equip many many items but I don't agree with 'usable' part. I've rolled a hunter for main at Nostalrius private server. I had to go for BIS preraid blues like other classes. I can say it was not faster mate.

Hunters have huge advante when you have to search for something in elite mob areas.
(Just to remember: Elites are very dangerous and they're too many around in classic.)
With Feign death, pet abilities you can enter everywhere you want as solo. NE racial ability to be stealth also gives an additional advantage. There're some great videos at youtube about soloable things with hunter.

The last thing I want to say about hunters is trouble at finding groups for dungeons. There're some BIS preraid items with crit and attack power which dps warriors, rogues, feral druids, hunters, melee shamans need. They don't want to see hunters in their groups.
They'll want to see casters instead of HUNTARDS who'd share the loot. (There'll be many many rogues and warriors who don't like hunters)

Gearing doesn't really matter if your main is a goldbot. Full greens is more than enough to do mara/dire maul without problems. If you wanna AoE farm ZG you need good gear though. And like bowner said, during p1 Mara is out unlike dire maul so that might be something to consider.

I should add that the reset instance-macro was most likely a bug that never was fixed during the duration of Vanilla (see https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/bvxc29/should_the_instance_reset_bug_exist_in_classic/). If Blizz decides to fix it for classic retail, that will hugely affect the g/hr for the above mentioned classes as they rely on instance farming. DM:N will still be very viable even if they fix the bug, which would be favorable to mages. So keep an eye out for if Blizz changes the way you reset dungeons. Personally I'd be in favor of them fixing it since it promotes "hiding" from open world gold farming and also causes huge inflation.

I think fixing exploits is generally good. Other changes mostly not, because I don't trust Blizzard to stop making changes once it gets rolling.
