Twinks entering XP-on BGs is probably about to get fixed

Imagine working so hard to try and justify exploiting that you end up at a point where trial accounts are somehow worse for... not having enchants? Or something?
did blizzard intend on having people sink hours into finding a perfect level 20 twink to stomp low level players? XD doesnt seem very fun for low level players, something the xpoff-xpon different q's was supposed to fix. but ye ur not doing anything wrong :D definitely intended btw

please tell me, how do you justify trial accounts?

users literally create other accounts to bypass the xp-off queue's, level (multiple) character(s) to level 20 to get perfect epics/items, only to stomp low level players in the 20-29 bracket...

how could you possibly argue that blizzard intended this to happen, especially since they created two seperate brackets for xp-off/xp-on?

how is this any more justifiable than leveling to e.g. 29 and exploiting (no bans just like f2p) to get in with levelers. not to mention those ppl actually have subscriptions and aren't doing everything they can to abuse every minor detail blizzard overlooked when establishing trail account privileges letting you have fun destroying keyboard turners.

regardless, if ppl actually q'd xp-off brackets no one would play in the leveling brackets, or if (obviously incompetent) blizzard considered any of the fixes listed in this thread. but im pretty sure they ruined the game too much for even twinking to be fun enough for ppl to play. glad classic is coming soon

very simple really

trial accounts are to TRY the game (no shit)
no ones gonna buy the game after trying it and it has dead xpoff queues lol

our exp stays on for bank exp to take effect for when we do sub - the accumulated banked exp is applied and levels us.
not sure whats hard to get. its intended, trust me.
[doublepost=1559828250,1559827982][/doublepost]rather than whine like a little bitch just reroll to vet or go play a diff game lmao.
like chops said. if you have to exploit to play a game, then its time to move on.

I started this game through a trial account. I had it for almost a year.
I found this site and community and enjoyed gearing multiple level 20's as best I could.
That's part of an MMO... gear grinding and 'end level pvp'. Level 20-29 bgs are the end game of the trial accounts...

It's actually quite a fair representation of end game wow and definitely what Blizzard expects trial accounts to do

What about the players who get stomped by the level 20 twinks? I recently played bgs a bit on a lvling char and in the 20-29 bracket there were way more levelers (including non-heirloom) than twinks. So the 'end-game' for trials comes at the expense of relatively more levelers (might be confirmation bias but doubtful). Surely the levelers complaining about macro exploiters also complain about level 20's. Do you think blizzard should (keep) allowing the level 20's to get the fattest gear and stomp these levelers, maybe because it's 'just one bracket' (arguably the most popular though, I have no clue), or some other reason?

You start by understanding the difference between vets and trials

To be honest dude it's just a part of the game. To stomp out all of the 20 trial accounts is to wipe a huge community and future opportunity from World of Warcraft.
Blizzard made the decision to allow trials to be permanent. They knew that this would lead to people sticking by their level 20's and not paying a single penny towards WoW, in turn gearing up with the best stuff available to them.
It's been a part of the game for years now and I honestly hope it stays.

It provides much more entertainment and fun to those in the trial accounts than it ruins the fun of levellers getting through 20-29.

With full heirlooms you're not at that much of a disadvantage anyway. If you enchant those heirlooms then you're basically on par with them, especially if you group with friends and battleground.

by the time a leveler is 25, any dungeon drop or blue quest reward will have the same stats as a trials epics.

With even the most basic of enchants on boa gear, a leveler enjoys a distinct gear advantage over a trial twink by the time they hit the middle of the bracket.

If they're still getting wrecked, that's a user error, not a game design flaw.

this guy is delusional asf lmao
why does this even matter? the thread discussion is about the queue bug exploit
the only reason I can see people drag 20s on to this is "if i cant keep my toy, you can't keep yours" cry baby type shit
who gives a fuck? 20-29 can be out leveled quickly compared to higher brackets when exp gains start becoming slower

Alright, I think you're underestimating the strength differential between levelers and decked out 20's. Plus, even if the difference is "minimal", I'm not sure it's fair to say that the 20's deserve the entertainment more than the levelers deserve entertainment in the 20-29 bracket, especially since it comes at the direct expense of them.

Regardless, let's say you're completely right. I believe this discussion is mostly centered around the 20-29 bracket, cause it's even harder to defend the 19s 39s 49s+ for there not being any competition, but perhaps gear matters less at the higher levels. So, I'm curious if you want to share (dunno if u have already) your thoughts on the 29s. I guess they're just unlucky and should wait until blizzard gives them something to do again? I'm not against it, but it must be dissapointing for them. Although, from what I've read and seen, dissapointment is the norm with blizzard in regards to twinks.

Nearly every game in 20-29 bracket is lobsided, team with more lvl20 twinks wins. Scores like 27-2 24-0 at the top of scoreboard and 0-18 at bottom. Stop saying it's even close to fair. Keep stomping players for free with 2 buttons lmfao. This bracket is f*ed ,god bless ppl that play wargames, seems like that's the only way to twink rn.

Imagine posting as guest, anticipating your going to say something autistic

Sitting at Datz in Tampa right now sippin on a crown laughing so fucking hard at this. Good shit.

Yes the xp on and off brackets have been seperated twice and this "macro" hasn't been fixed in over 10+ years.

If it was not meant to be why isn't fixed? This is not an exploit imo because everything is in the game. An exploit is duping items using a 3rd party program.
I'm assuming from your reply that you have no experience with programming real time systems. What this exploit is doing is exploiting what's called a "Race Condition" between two different threads of operation. Those threads being the one that checks for eligibility for a battle ground that just popped and you've accepted. The second thread being the one that turns off your XP via the NPC. This race condition can be easily closed by Blizzard going to what's called an ACID compliant database. But such a database has an unacceptable performance penalty given the number of simultaneous threads operating on the database (about 1 per logged on player). The second method of closing the race condition would be to have those threads be aware of each other and coordinate their actions with each other. This is an EXTREMELY difficult programming task and honestly I suspect a very low percentage of programmers are capable of doing it given the type of code I've seen over the past 3 decades. Another approach that I've mentioned in a different thread wouldn't prevent the race condition exploit, but would mitigate against those players who exploit it. Namely have a bit of code executed in every XPON battle ground that unconditionally turns XP ON for every player within that battle ground. This code would execute long past the open window of the race condition and would cause those XPOFF twinks to have their XP turned back on, so they would eventually level out of bracket and no longer be a problem. But that mitigation is rather quick and dirty and there are some purists who would rather attempt to "properly fix" the race condition which as I've stated above is a near insurmountable problem.

We are all twinks. I can run around STV and farm level 50s on my level 20 all day. We all want it to go back to what it was before 8.1.5 and play our twinks in our normal brackets. This has been a part of the game since launch it should have never changed in the first place. 12 year olds just got really mad when people started getting BIS at specific levels and dominating them.

It's not cheating till bliz changed things that caused it to happen because they promised one thing then acted on another.

Not sure what your talking about honestly....I was talking about the exploit to get into bg's Bliz does not want us in anymore.

10 pages .. too much to read .. have they removed the macro queue ? or its still working ? havent had time to bg the last few days

ooo i stay in saint pete myself

Love St. Pete so far - The airport was dope. Top flight of the world craig :p

We're sitting here bs'ing drinking a lil. Datz is pretty upscale - diggin it.

Going to Roco's tonight - I hear the Filet is on fire.

we should trade lives

We put the pants on the same way. This old mfer's just been doing it longer. I'd prefer that little Mexican Food place on the other side of the bridge out there personally, that little tiki hut looked nice with a Rona. Might just order the same thing I always do there before I leave.
