"Children's Week" has returned once again... and I decided that things would be a little different this year.

For starters, I wasn't gonna' make my little buddy sprint-around after me like some goddamn road-runner... so I took him "mount shopping":

...and since I'm such a "Big Shot" now, I introduced him to my important friends:

Think you've "got what it takes" to improve the lives of the less fortunate? Then go visit your nearest orphanage today! :D
Iceháwk did go visit an orphanage and picked up one of these little, less fortunate children.
Only thing, Háwk's spent way too much time around animals and in the wild. He's forgotten how to relate to people.
His poor little child had to fall into line, along with the rest of Háwk's zoo.
He was also about to smack him one for not going into battle at his command when he showed him the Gulch....... luckily he remembered this child pet humanoid was non-combat so he let him off with a warning :p

You fancy "Quadruple-spec'd Druids" think you're sooooo special... but your dominance is now at an end!

...because thanks to some of my "shady connections" deep in the Darkmoon Faire, I have become the first "Sextrigenuple-spec'd Adventurer" in the history of Azeroth (and at a surprisingly affordable cost, too)!

COWER before my unsurpassed role flexibility!

FEAR my unlimited loot-rolling options!

MARVEL at my overdramatic presentation of a Darkmoon Hammer glitch! :D

Took several weeks of casual camping on my High Pop server. My first kill dropped Serpents Kiss which was highly discouraging. Finally got it this morning when I was still half asleep

It's been one year ...

One year exactly that my first twink got lvl20 ...

One year after I discovered this awesome community and the F2P world ...

Thanks to everyone, you've been both friends and motivation for me to progress in that world, to always go further ^^

And that's just the beginning of the adventure :p

To summarize this year in numbers:
- 69 days (exactly ^^) of play time in game
- 4660 achievement points (4035 for character-only)
- 124,600 things killed
- 3175 deaths (1965 in BG ; and 1480 outside/in dungeon)
- 1700 total quests completed (and 1000 dailies)
- 716 dungeons entered
- 23,780 things caught by fishing (but only 8350 fish  )
- 700 Battlegrounds played (only 300 won :( )
- 11,320 Honorable Kills
- 96 Pets collected

69 days of play in-game ...
... Hmm ...
I've never thought about that, but I just made the calculation ... and it's an average of 4h30 of play everyday  ... can we say that it's an addiction ?
(it doesn't even count the gametime on my other characters ....)

You were getting me curious about my own "numbers" until I saw this... I don't believe I have the necessary willpower to face how many tens-of-thousands of times my poor F2P has died over the past seven years!

I guess that depends:
  • If not for WoW, would you have actually spent that time on something "more productive"? (Every "non-gamer" I know spends more time than that just watching television every day.)
  • Has playing WoW repeatedly prevented you from performing important tasks (or had other lasting negative consequences)?
  • Is WoW actually fun-enough that you're grateful to have it available in your life, or are you just kinda' "going through the motions" (perhaps because you feel like you have so much "invested" into it at this point)?
Sorry if you were just joking-around... the bottom line is: so long as your behavior isn't hurting anyone (especially yourself), then any "time" that you enjoy "wasting" is definitely not "wasted time". ;)

Happy "Birthday"! :D

Incredibly impressive for just one year =O

<3 Super awesome and inspiring.

As for the /played time...I've never tallied how much a day/year.

But... I have 8 toons with 100 or more, 15ish toons with 50 days or more, 4 toons with 200 or more, and 1 toon with over 365 /played.

All in all sounds like a ton. But given it's been since 2004, it's not...THAT much. And I was in school for a good part of that.

Is sleeping considered as an important task ? :D

Just kidding :) I had a lot of free time during the last year, and i focused on F2P, at the cost of nothing else.
I had a lot of fun, many good memories, and I met more friends (except gnomes ... you can never trust those little things, they're not your friend!) in one year of playing F2P than in 12 years of playing WoW retail

But yet, no bad effect on my life (except that i'm more aware of WoW related news, than of those of my country  )

Those are some amazing achievements! Cheers to you mate, here's to many more fun years!
