When Vanilla WoW is re-released, I will be making an 'Ironman'. Some advice needed.

Yeah I mean... this sounds cool and all.. but if you arnt doing the Ironman challenge.. you are just making up your own challenge and setting your own constraints. No one else will know how difficult/easy it was, and you will have no competition. I, for one, would never do this- because even after accomplishing it I would always think “I should have just don’t the actual Ironman challenge”.

The whole point of the challenge is to not die (obviously white gear and no talents is difficult and all). If you can die- it removes the difficulty of it

I guess you pay to play however you want though. As long as you are having fun- you can level however you so please. Good luck.

Mage is nice because of good spell damage (even with white gear) and you can make your own food/drink. Going OOM and losing hp is a big deal in vanilla because without food/drink/bandage it is difficult to efficiently gain your hp and mana back.

Toughest part about it would be not dying. Magi can be squishy and mobs resist your spells sometimes. I think given your rules, it’s the best pick.

I think Priest is best for pure Iron man: would be easiest, but would also take a long time to grind. Low damage but you can basically always stay alive.

ironman mode

I happen to know Domunique here plays Runescape as well, so I think this was just a way for him to describe his idea, and it just happens that WoW has the ironman challenge that's a different thing.

As for being self sufficient in wow not being a challenge, I beg to differ. That means no trading and no AH, which means you have to max every or almost every profession for your enchants, gear and supplies and relevel them often while gathering all the materials yourself.

Than it’s not all that much different than the Trial model. And it’s for RuneScape it WoW. Here is the one for WoW.

People have been doing it for YEARS. Hell, there was a thread on here about it a few years ago. I am sure someone can find it.

Nevertheless, it is not the WoW Ironman Challenge. It’s something different. He is more than welcome to challenge his solo video gaming prowess. People do it all the time. He shouldn’t call it what it isn’t though.

To most people that have never played Vanilla WoW simply leveling will be enough of a “challenge” all in and of itself. That is, unless you have oodles of time to spend playing video games. Because you can just go very very slowly. Vanilla WoW was a time sink as it was when played regularly.

Well actually come to think of it, some of us do this all the time ecksdeee
Most of my wow buddies have gone already last online 3 years ago

I don’t see how people have so much time to play video games and go to school/work unless they don’t.

I know what ironman challenge is. They even invited me to be a guest on their podcast.

I don't know why you keep coming and explaining what wow ironman challenge is, when OP clearly stated what he's going to do and just called it ironman because that's a term from another game. Is this just a debate about naming?

Allybeboba is a senile old fuck, we all know this.

Said it once and I’ll say it again.
I have often found those who that are worried about other’s age are truly worried about their own.

Wow! That’s awesome. Did you get a lot of views?
Personally, I don’t find it entertaining to sit on my a$$ in front of computer watching videos for hours on end. Some people do though. And they really enjoy it. I just can’t just sit and vegetate for that long. I have to be active. To each their own.
Explained it fully only once my friend. And that was in my initial post in this thread. A few others seem to agree as well.
He initially did not state it was from another game. I have already address this in another post as well.
Apparently you didn’t read the last sentence of my last post. Either that or you didn’t care to. As a fellow achievement hunter I know you have attention span.

He never mentioned another game. He just said he was doing Ironman and then came here dressed as Thor.

Fantastic. That’s old enough to have gotten your Masters and have a little experience at your chosen profession.
Or a technical and a good bit of experience.
Everything you learn is through experience.

I foresee a lot of deletions in your future. Before you leave the starting zone in fact.
Vanilla WoW wasn’t like it is now. I think people will be in for quite a shock.

Glad to see someone else noticed that.
It wasn’t until later that he mentioned another game. We aren’t mind readers here.

These are all very good points.
However, mage’s ability to create food comes at a much higher level in Vanilla/Classic. And you must live to get to that point. Remember die=delete. That’s the #1 rule.
Mana/food was a real real problem in vanilla. You had to drink/eat after each and every battle. As a healer in Vanilla, a large portion is f your time is drinking.

fun is not about killing mobs but back to the past when you were innocent and the world was a good place :)
that has nothing to do with killing thousands of mobs for no real reason
