US Did you remake to get epics?

I was considering remaking to get epics, but is it really worth it? I have every Brewfest trinket, epic foam staff, full fang... I'm a druid, would it really be worth it to try for the epics? Or am I just crazy?

My warrior friend has recreated over 16 warriors now..

Edit: [I'm lvl 20]
I'd also like to know if it'd be worth for say, a WW monk or even just what other classes it'd be worth it for if it IS worth it.

I would say unless you want to not to bother. For the most part people with epics are still a rarity in BG. Maybe one day people with decked out with epics will be a norm but so far doesn't look like it will be.

If you have the time, and the patience and the will to farm that gear, Id say go for it. If its your goal to go for BiS then do it. Sometimes its worth it for that one epic, other times its really just another purple item. I've seen one / two rogues in full purples at level 20. Most of them end up sub though because they dont get their epic weapons. They end up with Epic Daggers instead.

Regardless the Fang set will probably be BiS for you still. If you haven't done the quests for your main yet definitely do them and who knows you might get lucky with some bracers or something. That includes Dungeon quests too.

TLDR; Fang is BiS / If you havent quested on your main for off pieces do so (bracers/shouders/whatever else) / Remake Druids if you're willing to refarm the quests / fang set.

If you can use the fang set it's not worth it. There's nothing to upgrade really. You can go boulder pads or helm, but both are farmable drops. Epic wrist would be nice but the items that can upgrade I think have crit, which isn't that great.

WW sure, wep upgrades are the biggest deal. Double purples would be ideal. There should be plenty of quests, you probably won't need to reroll. Nor will want to, if you finish every available quest lol

I very very honestly would encourage you not to reroll your toon. 20 druid doesnt really need any epic quest rewards. Take a look at my f2p druid in my sig and you'll note the only epic quest reward I'm using (despite getting quite a few) is the epic shoulders. And those, honestly, are a lateral trade to the shoulders that drop out of SFK. Hell, a good roll on satchel shoulders (which seem to be a bigger thing now) would probably be better.

Druids (and other leather/mail casters) luck out given the strength of the fang set and the farmability of the staff. Thats really all you need.

I don't know the max amount of a single secondary stat you can get from spoils at lvl 20, is there a website? What equip slots can I loot from the satchels, everything? Chest, gloves, bracers, boots, etc

i dont think it is worth it for druids but i think it is well worth it for other classes unless u have invasion gear since most invasion gear is still very good. If you have allied races unlocked it makes it so much easier

I will second what everyone has said. You don't need to grind Epic upgrades on a non-cloth caster. The Fang set is a must! Epic Head & Shoulders can be obtained farming Rares in Hillsbrad Foothills.

That only really leaves: Cloak, Bracers, and 1 Ring (as the WSG Vendor's ring is BiS because of the 6 Versatility) slots to potentially upgrade with Epic procs. Which would only gain you +3 INT & +3 STA while potentially sacrificing secondary stats (depending on which quest rewards upgrade to Epic). 2 out of 3 of those slots are arguably better filled with BG crate blues that are "of the Adaptable".

So in reality: Cloak is the only important BiS Epic, if you're considering Versatility as the secondary stat to stack.

Watch out for it to not burn you out of actually wanting to play the game.

Since the last patch's changes to 29's, I would be cautious to spend too much time doing grind and have adopted a more laid-back attitude to the game. Specially since there's a ever-so small chance that dungeon drops or BG crates might upgrade to epic in the future.

I tend to think this way: will the grind be compatible with the time I plan to put on this twink's focus?

If you're creating a new class there's no reason not to, a class you already have probably isn't worth creating anew.

A lot of people are rerolling 20 from somewhere else so it's a popular thing to do, and pretty easy as long as you don't shoot too high. Take your time with it and it'll be over before you know it... go into it expecting to be out quick and it'll grind you.

Items I would consider rerolling for on each class:

Druid
  • Resto/Boomkin - not much here. Bracers/Ring would be the things that aren't Fang or BoE
  • Feral/Guardian - 2h agility weapon and https://www.wowhead.com/item=52598 . There are a long of BoE options.
Hunter
Mage
Monk
Paladin
Priest
Rogue
Shaman
Warlock
Warrior

For clothies I would also mention Xakxaks if ally and dastardly bracers and for plate the ally version is called Diplomat something. Stonetalon is very nice to ally. There's also a haste fist weapon and kobold torch instead of discontiuer.

Id say if the toon is fresh (made within a few weeks) id say go for it. If the toon is pretty old i wouldnt reroll just for a few stats

So more than say soothsayers? I'd imagine boa + soothsayers would be more desirable than epic bow + alternative?

Not the case?

Nah epic Argus + sooth would be ideal but even epic Argus and blue sooth or epic silvermoon is gonna be the jam.

Weapon damage is really important.

For hunter, I'd reroll to get soothsayer's and then do all the weapon quests to see if you get an epic weapon. But if you don't got the time/patience for that, then I'd take the weapon. There are a few decent chest BoEs that close the gap a bit, but no BoE ranged weapons.
