EU+US Warsong Gulch Tips And Tricks Brainstorm

Why are there so many people complaining about the length of it? Good information doesn't often come in Tweet lengths, you guys act like you've never read anything before in your lives.

Most people won't read what you wrote at all Mocha, but to anyone who actually does need to improve, (everyone can improve almost always, except for Curley, apparently.) there are some HUGE things in what Mocha has said that you should take notice of. Things like insignia taking because I don't have enough fingers to count on the amount of times I've seen people, namely Randy, take a body rez and get a pick to save a cap. The hk baiting based on your name is real shit too, I find myself out of position a lot because I run off to kill someone I don't like, and it has cost games before. Everyone can improve. Thanks for the thread, Mocha!

Long and very interesting read. Thanks again Mocha. Good to see someone who cares deeply for the community :)

HK baiting is my favorite tactic in AB. Just go do a fly by in ghost wolf form and invariably they will follow. riptide/juke/healing surge/healing surge gets 'em every time while friendly little rouge takes their flag and I just run away again... All the way to the bank...

I wish @necroaqua could make a wsg guide copy paste relevant info from this and add new and make it more naviagtable, maybe spoilers for each role and macros/addons

Having a high amount of deaths in a game will make you look like a noob. However, if those deaths were spent distracting the enemy team allowing your FC enough time to endure before the flag is returned resulting in a hero, you just took multiple enemies out of potential plays which can be game changing.

Welcome to my playstyle haha! As a scrawny clothie enemies almost always run after me. I've learned to build that expectation into my approach. Death and glory! xD

PUGs are PUGs. Never expect to have a good comp with geared experienced twinkers and never expect them to play objectively. You're the only person on the field whom you really know and can trust. Don't rely on anyone else to make the plays... be the play maker.

Spot on. #PuGlife

Baiting people to undesired locations on the map can be an absolutely powerful play and is often overlooked.

I only read up to this point (for obvious reasons) but I can agree that this is one of the most important strategies that can be used.

A good FC knows that he can provoke his enemies into bad positioning, simply by baiting them to himself.
Something I often do as a dedicated FC, is grab the apposing factions flag, run to TOT and get a general view of my battlefield. If I feel that I can safely bait the enemy team into a chase, I'll drop tunnel and force them to follow me to their roof.
Being a druid, I have a huge* movement speed advantage over everyone, and if I can bait them to follow me through their flag room as I escape through either ramp or graveyard, I'd guarantee that I am 2-steps ahead of them, while clearing mid for a safe cross, and giving my team the opportunity to capitalize & take brief control of the battlefield.

If you use the BGE addon and can keep track of enemy rogues, this is generally a very safe strategy & has turned the tides for me multiple times both in pug BGs and competitive scenarios.

something i haven't ever seen mentioned is that you can use the addon TellMeWhen to track DR timers. useful for basically anyone with a spam CC imo
