US event cancelled

This was fun. Sorry for escalating. Not sure what got under my skin, but it certainly wasn't necessary. GN.

The only thing I think should be BIS in both PVP and PVE are legendaries, tbh. Not that they are even really legendary these days.

Really never saw the need to get rid of resilience. Seemed like a perfect answer to keeping PVP gear out of PVE, and PVE gear out of PVP.

What do you mean by legendaries, azerite maybe?
if you're talking about azerite it has it's fair share of problems too, but yeah it's a lot better than some of the retarded pve items that has pvp personalities bring 10 + viewers to roll on tank trinkets and such for them

No worries.

And honestly, I didn't mind resil...To a point. But between the endless CCs and enormous amounts of resil, it got a bit annoying at some points.

And no, I was referring to instances of say in WoTLK, Shadowmourne being BIS for those who could use it.

Since celax identifies as a potato and potatoes are best at making fries not decisions, once a mod wakes up in the morning and likely locks this thread can i suggest an off topic banter thread?

That way those of us who are bored and want to talk about French history or about Chicago PD can do so.

I fully support an off topic general banter thread in the general section! :D

With that, we can get this thread back on track to it's original purpose and move on with that.

Full kudos to you Neon, for organising this event <3
I'm sorry I didn't sign up, i'm not really a premade person, also my real life i so chaotic I can't predict when I'll be online or not.

As for all the F2P haters - you do realise that the vast, vast majority of F2Ps play completely alone, have empty friend lists, and don't visit this website -or if they do, only every few months when they need a specific piece of information.

Ahhh, I mean those brings a fair share of problems to pvp too, like the legendary staff and daggers in cata, they were miles better than anything you could get your hands on. I think the system in legion worked fairly well for max level, but the way it impacted lower levels wasnt as good I guess.

And a large portion of the ones who are on here and actively playing it together do it with a heavy focus on collecting, achieves, pushing the boundaries on what can be done with the limitations.

But unfortunately, it's just easy to try and bait and troll with the "Lol ur broke, cant afford game time!" (most also play regular P2P in this community, specifically) or "f2p suck and have to roll levelers" (Yes, that was totally how it worked when we had guilds to try to farm us of 24s -cough <Free To Prey> cough-)....

And yeah, Zirano...

Unfortunately, balancing PVP and PVE is tough. Somethings either too OP in PVP or not good enough in PVE or vice versa...The balance between gear, nerfs, etc...It's always a chore.

Best gearing for pvp/pve at endgam was WoD. Shake they wouldnt let it be like that.
Wod was pretty good yeah, but I feel like legion was the most "balanced" but because of the templates it was very boring and that aspect made it feel like you werent playing an mmo since there was no customization.

I feel like resilience was a good way to kind of keep pve gear out of pve, but the thing that made resil kinda stale was that you had gems and everyone just stacked resil gems in mop, maybe resil would work better nowadays as you can't get as many sockets. Then you would just have a set ammount from your pvp gear, so no resil stacking like mop.

Well, Legion was pretty balanced gearwise, it was a just a poor system of artifacts sorta mattering and sorta not. Also the class balance in legion was so tilted the games were so shit once you got to 2.5+ mmr atleast in rbgs.

Resil was pretty boring, it was just a flat stat dull stat. Like versa at 20 now. You dont have to think about anything, break points, etc. Get your hit cap and spell pen cap then just stack resil.

I think there are tons of different reasons why people might F2P instead of sub.
In my case it's because if I had a sub WoW would EAT MY LIFE. I know this for a fact because vanilla->BC->WotLK it did eat my life.
Being F2P limits how much I feel compelled to play, and I need that.

Got a TL;DW?

World Powers meet in 1954 in Geneva, Indochina is on the table. France and the Viet Minh both understand that whoever wins the next big battle is gonna have all the power at the bargaining table. The french find the best valley to run a gauntlet to smash the peasants. The french ignore the big mountains around them because there is no way they could be a threat and aim their cannons towards the gauntlet. Viet Minh pushed 50 000 soldiers, dissassambled artillery, cannons and all the food need for a siege through the jungle aswell as all food needed to supply the quarter million of human road to push all of this up into the mountains. The Viet Minh open fire. The French artillery commander Charles Piroth who said before the fight "I have more guns than I need", took the pin off a grenade in his tent and hugged it.

Viet Minh had a very good position at the table in Geneva.
