Any interest in a end game raid guild?

I know a lot of folks here are stoked to play twinks in classic again, at brackets such as 19, 29, 49s, etc.

But I want to scope and gauge the interest of people here who would love to do some endgame level 60 raiding.

Considering a lot of us in the level 60 twink community over the years enjoyed doing PVE a lot, I thought it might be something of interest.

Considering we still have a good amount of time until release (Summer is a broad term..), we'd have plenty of time to plan, play together in retail a bit, discuss who will roll what, chat in discord, etc.


So...Anyone interested? :)

I never got to play vanilla because I started playing wow in late TBC.
In cataclysm i started my own level 60 twink guild <Deck Me Out> to get as close as I could to experience how it was raiding in level 60.
With a viral thread on mmochampion marketing the guild with the video below, we quickly became the worlds largest level 60 guild with over 400 members. I got stuck playing wow 24/7 and had to quit for a while to get my real life together again, when I came back in MoP the guild was halfed in size and was moved from The Sha'Tar to Argent Dawn.


On topic: I will ressurect <Deck Me Out> the first thing i will do when I log in on classic servers, but this time it will be horde. Can't explain in words how much I am looking forward to raiding again!

Very nice!

I'll be going Alliance for raiding, as the racials are far more PVE friendly as opposed to PVP friendly racials for horde. Yes, I know..human warrior, a bit boring but hey. :)

Plus, I'll probably have an alt as a Paladin again.

I'm a bit torn on the leveling fast / push.

On one hand, to establish a top guild fast and early would likely be pivotal and beneficial to getting certain things.

On the other, the leveling experience is something I do want to enjoy and smell the roses.

It may be one of those things where I haul ass on the druid and take my time on the warrior because that shit isn't gonna go quick anyway

True.

I mean, warrior leveling is the slowest of the slow. But man, is end game fun.

I am tempted to do the same with a hunter, honestly. Then eventually shift focus to tanking on the warrior once I get things established.

Most of vanilla server players (nost., lights hope etc) are rushing for BIS gear and raid. I just run away from these kind of players. I want to enjoy the old school content and feel its spirit. Slowly...

Retail players won't stay more than 2 weeks in classic. They'll return their home. Tourists...
I'd like to join a guild full of people who wish to play for fun. Not rushing.

Raids are nice but i can't find enough time for farming consumables, elixirs or gold for raid set ups. Casual endgame pvp, twinks are enough for me. I'll play stupid builds and try to make them work.

Yeah, I've been super casual in retail since the end of WoTLK, and barely been able to keep interest in anything besides twinking in it.

This style of play is just more what I like, as I started with it and things like EQ/UO.

I never bothered with vanilla private servers, because I dislike private serves in the aspect that they can go away at any time period, therefor I do not want to invest much time in something like that.

I've developed a leveling strategy for 59 (on the discord) and a phase by phase plan (on the discord as well) which does include plans for some raiding if there is interest.
 
A few folks and myself are going to be running our own raiding guild alliance side when Classic comes out. We're planning on having our own mix of PvPers, Raiders, Farmers, and even Casuals. Ill probably take a shot at raiding but I plan on being horde.
 
Yes, and I hope to have my main on the same server as my twinks, so finding a raiding guild that is also planning on doing twinks together would be amazing!
