EU+US Good reasons for getting gametime from a GM

• Got that epic pacifier but need gametime to enchant it with crusader?
• Farmed some epic BoE's that you want to put up on the AH?
• Want to join a guild but can't unless you got gametime?
• Want to use the mailbox again for some reason?

As most of us know, if you ask a GM nicely (with a good reason) they are able to give you a few days of gametime for free. I thought I'd create this thread where we can share different reasons of why we need a little gametime from a GM.

I'll start by saying that I never had the need to to do this (yet) but a friend of mine did it recently by telling a GM that he had been in a lot of battlegrounds with full inventory and that he really wanted to loot the BG crates from his mailbox. He was given 1 day of gametime. He also asked the GM how many days they could give and he got the answer that a GM can give you a maximum of 3 days gametime.

What's your good reason(s) for getting 1-3 days of gametime?

[doublepost=1555584040,1555584005][/doublepost]Keep in mind that GM can give you game time only once.

Ive asked and gotten 3 days of gametime for asking to clear my mailbox before

All this to save a tenner...

The reason I use countless times and always works - Asking for gametime to buy a WoW token. Simply by saying my friends are going to give me the rest of the gold in game to complete for a WoW token.
Also its simple to get a live chat with it because it falls under payment support category.

I've received over a week of game time adding up all the times i've asked for time lol. I don't think they "officially" track the times you've received game time from a GM.
im not waiting 27 days to queue.
You can always transfer your gametime to a different account under the same bnet (AKA wow2)
I recently found this out, thought i'd share :)

I got game time for asking if I can get some items out of my mailbox a few times in the past.

I've got extra game time several times - I just ask. (Politely - they are only people.)

Reasons I remember (All genuine):
  • Accidentally forgot to toggle XP back on (schoolboy error!) before some game time ran out.
  • Mail in mailbox I couldn't access:
    • A pet I'd done the grind for in Dalaran over several months not realising it was a mailed item once achieved.
    • I had no idea what it was.
  • Unable to delete a character - I had gear in a slot or bag so I couldn't delete it without game time.
I used to subscribe but £120 a year is something I can't justify right now when free is just as much fun with all the challenges it entails. The odd £10 occasionally is OK. Sometimes I don't play for a while & whilst I could pause a sub, I'd rather not have the pressure to always be playing to get the value out of it. (For context IRL I can sail all year in the bay here, boat maintenance costs aside) for about £120.)

It's also a challenge to pay as little as possible & max the game time I do get. Adds an extra frisson - I love a bargain!

I got 24 hours yesterday after asking to try the new raid. It was my first time asking, and they mentioned that it was granted since this hasn't been a reoccurring ask.
