LF Old School Twinks

I miss the days BEFORE x-realm BG's. When you would enter a game and see names you recognized and knew to watch out for them. I miss the camaraderie of standing around the Battlemasters waiting for a pop. The skill that it took to make a twink and get all the gear ALL without leveling (you know, before XP off). I also miss (since I mostly play FC's) the days before there were mounts in low level BG's =(

I miss the 29 bracket RIP - Healadinn / Daemonics - Reckoning, Windrunner
 
i don't know if this was just spinebreaker /rampage but i remember everyone using savory deviate delight to hide their gear so people wouldn't know what they had and the people who had a million weird chars in their name making it nearly impossible to armory them.

Yep Rampage used tons of those :) I'm not sure how many people intentionally used weird characters in an effort to keep from being armoried, but there were definitely lots of Savory Deviate Delights.

I twinked on Garona,, which is also in the rampage BG Group.

Usually I just get harassed every single day that I'm "lost in '06" and therefore I'm mentally unstable for wanting people to stop running around epeen first. I also miss when skill > class > gear > popularity as opposed to popularity > gear > class > skill. Well I guess with the exception of Colmac... he was just pure skill and popularity ;D... and trolling back then was much more different.... we had probably 50 Mayhem players who were only invited in the first place because everyone would laugh at what they said in /o chat... I can name a few players today who were <Mayhem> who were invited because Vegan and Salt liked to make fun of them without them knowing =P

I also miss druids in bear form, male orc hunters with green tinted goggles, +22int, talbar and blackened defias with their light yellow boars, female undead rogues, gnomes, that day where orcs had human-sized shoulder pads (lol), being able to play a dodge-stacked rogue and duel other dodge-stacked rogues, seeing speed hacking druids cap 3 flags in 40 seconds while in bear, and a friendly and tight community that would talk trash all day but still be friends as opposed to the way people treat others today....

I remember queueing 10 man Mayhem waaaay back and we would sit on top of gy and when ally would rez we would dance with the level 10s and 11s and let them cap 3 flags while we picnic'd on top of the big tree lol.... and also when we would gy farm for the whole day and the community was so large that queues wouldn't stop because there were 6 warsongs going on.... and when you had to go somewhere you'll call up your friend and tell him to take your spot in #n wsg lol, you would rarely get multiple players whom you just farmed.... and right before you finally capped your 3rd flag you'd practice jumps for 2 hours or so while 1v1ing the other factions twinks.....

i searched "Grandfathered" and found this Thread :p i am allways searching for Good old GfD Twinks, gives me a nostalgic feeling :)
