Anyone else snag the Blizzard Classics recently released on GOG? Warcraft 2 & Diablo 1 with online support!

man those brainlet blizzoids need to make diablo 2 remastered instead of having all this d1 on GoG ,etc when the game is just too ancient

or at least should've supported it d2 with relevant patches

im literally still fucking salty to this day the way blizzard interns who were rolling in dough all these years(and still do and yes blizzard is a company whose goal is to milk money and not make quality content ) and yet they couldnt patch incredibly simple fvking hacks that literally killed that game

and yes d2 pvp>wow pvp to this day

and im not shilling for d2

the only reason i picked up shitty wow was because by 2010-11 there would be games where i would be the only non hacker in the lobby

They are kinda expensive in my currency (about 2,5 monthly WoW subscriptions). But damn it is probably better than setting up old emulators.

I believe that at least a significant part of making those games work in newer systems was GOG's doing. GOG actually means "Good Old Games" and the website is almost a museum for videogame software, in which people can vote for new games to be feature in their store (WC2 and D1 were top leaders in the poll for a long long time).

Also important to say is that those games were being freely distribuited in abbadonware sites like https://www.myabandonware.com/ before GOG, with Activision-Blizzard doing nothing to stop or get profit from it.

So, low chances that the classic team from Blizzard (the one doing Warcraft 3: Reforged) or any other actually did something in WC2 and D1.

I've been playing through the Warcraft 2 campaign with flawless victories. Lots of hurt grunts back at home base.

Also scored a bunch of (-X Damage from Enemies) unique items in Diablo 1, so the rogue is feeling a bit tanky.

I've been playing both on single player version (without old B.net support). Anyone want to play the classic clients with online support?
