EU+US Versatility > all ... or is it?

Should I stack versatility as much as I can, even tho it means sacrificing some other stats ( like crit or haste)

All depends on your class, and spec. As a healer and caster vers seems to be more important. IE you really feel the vers in your heals and dots etc. As a melee I go a little bit more into crit because I'll have shorter encounters where ill want to get in as much burst damage as I can before I get frost nova'd or feared etc.

ww monk go vers/crit? im pure f2p and mw is strong af, but ww/bm is lagging. Basically a snare machine so far...from what i can tell.

how does a f2p expect to compete against vets with incend ammo/hidden sat, etc? We cannot...right? please correct me if im wrong. Doesnt matter what lucky epic drops i get as pure f2p, i dont know of a way to mitigate the enchants that vets have.

I don't expect there to be any balance, truly... I just play this until classic comes out. that's true mmorpg, unlike these hotkey queue based crap games

Altought it's kinda fun to try and "squeeze out" as much as you can out of free version :) I had 3k ach points twink on wotlk private realm, was more fun than anything else I played

All other things being equal (spec, skill, etc), 1v1, you're gonna lose to a vet. They just have better damage output and more health than you. Thats the way the cookie crumbles, Im afraid. There are some classes where the gap is small (mainly healing specs) and some where the gap is huge (mainly dps specs and especially warriors)

The good news is those enchants got a pretty hefty nerf in 8.1.5 (all but crusader) so in a full on BG with team fights and objectives and LoS and all the tools you have, you'll do fine. Especially if you play smart and dont try to go all rambo on a BG. Its much rarer now to get globalled because some hunter got a lucky crit on IA. If you die now, its because you genuinely made a mistake, not because the other guy has enchants.

Enchants matter a lot less than they did.

F2P can easily top charts and do just fine, if you aren't bad or playing a very underpowered spec. I've got no issues. Is there a slight advantage still? Sure.

ive played for a week, having an amazing time figuring out the in's and out's of what I can and cannot do. maximizing bag space, what to spend my 10g on, etc. Still figuring out where to grind gear for my monk, but its been a blast so far. Im actually going through my pay account and emptying all my banker mailboxes since i feel like ive found a new home with f2p. Thanks all! Oh..and my undergeared MW monk easily tops healing numbers in most of the bgs ive played. great stuff! I really love learning a new niche of wow. f2p = challenge mode....love it.

Really glad you're having so much fun. It really is a great way to experience the game.

Dig into the forums and you'll find all sort of fun things to explore and places to go and grinds to work on.
