F2P/Vets in xpoff-BGs

Man how fucking delusional can you be, 20's don't harm the bracket becuase they're at a level disadvantage? Do we even play the same game man? Lets be fucking real here, a clueless leveler is not gonna do fuck all to a vet just because he has one or two aditional abilities. I don't really mind the fact that 29's are gone, I've adapted and rolled a few 20's so I can que some casul bg's every now and then but one thing I've experienced first hand so far is that vets stomp levelers just as hard as 29's. And I have no clue why vets play this "good guy" role like they're doing no harm to the levelers, and put the blame on 29's for ruining the bracket. It's fucking delusional and vets are doing just as much harm, if you're gonna complain about 29's then you can fuck off to pure f2p accounts or you're a fucking hypocrite.
sounds like your upset bro

Well I might be slightly annoyed, but not for the reason you think. I'm not mad about 29's dying, I'm not mad that I have to gear new characters (i actually enjoy gearing new chars).

What I am annoyed by is the fact that so many vets have such an arrogant attitude and can't see that they're a part of ruining the experience for levelers and they use 29's as their scapegoat. But this is such a idiotic thing to do when you take a look at the powergap between a vet and a 29 and how that powergap pales in comparrison to the gap between vets and levelers.

I will repeat myself, if you are a vet who complains about 29's then you should go roll a true f2p or shut your whore mouth, you fucking hypocritical trashcan.

Edit: I'd also like to add how before I rerolled 20 there was so much talk about how good the 20 community was but the only respectable person I've encountered this far is @Chops

And vets being able to que xpon does not make sense from a business perspective, it's quite the opposite tbh as it literally encourages people to unsubscribe to "abuse" a loophole. For trials that have never had a sub or owned the game, i could agree that it makes sense.

Blizz doesn't care about the vet minority (who usually spend a lot of $$$ on other accounts, tokens, char services etc). They are only concerned with trial majority, the ones that have never had a sub or owned the game. That's why they are in the exp on queues. To show that pvp actually exists to potential customers.

Man did you even read what I said? I literally said that it makes sense for trials who has never owned the game / had a subscription.

I could have told you this expansions ago. Most only play vet instead of 29 because they don't like paying continually.

Taking off neck enchant and weapon enchant gets you long way. Taking off gear slots will take you even further. Playing underdog class and spec gets you even far bellow noticeable.

Power is what you make of it.

Tbh pug vs premade far more damaging than 29s vs levelers but overall the amount of one sided games I have encountered is far less after the change.

Statistically I don't think it is that much needed change to gate vets. But who cares what I think.

Look ye, vets are now the big dogs of the bracket, and that might be a problem. But I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like that this shit is a valid arguement lol. Anybody buying this shit has to be mentally handicapped lol. To pretend the situation isnt a 1000% better than 2 weeks ago lol. Aids benches are gone. A mainstay in the 29s inventory. I have seen 6 people pop drums in maybe 60 bgs since the patch. 4 of those people were russians. Before this patch there were drums in every fucking bg. Sure there are some vets that some still use consumables like crazy, most are 29 rerolls that cant live without them or russians. But consumable use has gone through the floor.

Sure there are still some issues, mainly crusader. But this argument that vets are as bad for the bracket health as 29s is the most retarded shit ive read in awhile. I have 1 vet acc with 1 updated vet and 3 f2p accs and besides resto shaman and druid and fury warriors, none are that much scarier as a vet than as f2p.

I'm... You... I don't even know what to say about some of the shit you guys are imagining is going on lol. Get a fucking grip, I dont want to see anymore of this retarded argument. It is the dumbest thing I've read in like 3 days.

Are you trying to tell me the gap between a geared vet and a leveler is not massive? And that gap is far greater than the gap between a vet and a 29. and I've never tried to excuse consumables, what I am saying is that vets are almost just as strong and most vets refuse to admit that this is true. and what right does a vet have to complain about 29's stomping him when the vets are stomping levelers? It's like you're claiming some right to be on top of the food chain, but if someone else claims that spot then you all go batshit crazy.

Edit: So oher than the fact that the consumables use has gone down, what is the big difference in this patch compared to last patch? It's still whatever team has the most twinks win, just that now it's vets and f2p instead of 29's. so new and fresh wow /clap

It's like you can't read but fine. One last post, read this one because there won't be another until I've read something less retarded to clear my mind of this shit.

1. The gap between a vet and a leveler is massive, sure. Thanks for figuring that out sherlock.

2. The gap between a vet and a 29 is smaller. Spot on again, mr obvious.

3. But excusing 29s is excusing consumables. Most vets atleast before this patch werent using consumables, either because they didnt care for them or because they didnt sub up often enough to keep a supply. They might make a few swift pots and get gliders from blingtron once a bluemoon. But every 29 came into every bg stocked up on third wind, swift pots, gliders and drums. Just look at the mouthbreeders right now making vets because their 29s are gone, the only question they're asking is how much consumables they will need. Seriously. That you would even take this position boggles my mind, I mean right now I'm thinking you're probably trolling me because it seems so obvious and such a stupid position but in case you aren't trolling me and you're just that dumb I will respond this one more time and then leave it.

4. There are well geared enchanted levelers with extra skills vets dont have and there are levelers with 3 greens and 14 empty slots. And ye vets will steamroll most levelers, but here's a secret that I can let you in on since it appears you haven't played one. F2Ps steamroll alot of these levelers too.

5. Now clearly this bracket isnt perfect, pretty far from it. But it is a 1000% better than before this patch. Sure things might turn to shit when more rerolls show up with drums and stuff. But just getting rid of heroic leaps and whatnots and the infurating amount of consumables that every 29 carried has so clearly brought about greener times.

It's like you're claiming some right to be on top of the food chain, but if someone else claims that spot then you all go batshit crazy.

6. I wanted to respond to this aswell but I have no fucking idea what it means. Who is claiming that? Vets? Since what, last week? And who is trying to take it away? You? Other vets? I have no fucking idea.

Jesus fkin christ......

Great that we agree at least on this.

Yes 29's might have brought an excessive ammount of consumables but to me it wasnt really a huge issue as usually both teams would pop drums for the bigger fights (in premades vs premades). and I used gliders myself, mainly because It's a fun item. But I never really saw consumables as a huge problem as both sides used them frequently.

Yes some f2p specs probably perform very well, almost on par with vets. (I believe healer spec are the strongest as f2p as they're not super reliant on weapon enchants such as elly force/crusader, but I do not have much experience with f2p)
But a leveling fury warrior with some looms would have a much better figthing chanse vs a f2p warr than a vet warrior. (obvious, yes but it's worth pointing out because of your statement)

Well has the bracket really changed that much since the seperation other than the fact that less consumables are being used from BOTH sides? It's still whatever team has the most twinks / better premade win the game with levelers still not having a very big impact on the game and tbh from the small ammounts of bg's I've played the bracket seems less competetive as there seems to be far more levelers per game now.

6. I wanted to respond to this aswell but I have no fucking idea what it means. Who is claiming that? Vets? Since what, last week? And who is trying to take it away? You? Other vets? I have no fucking idea.
What I meant by this is that so many vets complain about how strong 29's are/were (not saying they werent) completly ignoring the fact that they do pretty much the exact same thing to levelers and 29's were generally used as a scapegoat and vets kinda hid behind them like they're not a part of the problem. Your point about the consumables is fair but that's not what the majority of the vets on xpoff have complained about.

All ppl who play differently than pure ftp are evil, lazy, or stupid. The new people refilling into this bracket are mostly those things as well. This is what I have learned about ftp community so far. I hope that this is a few loud people and there are people that are not judgmental assays in this bracket but it sure feels like the majority so far. I have made vets and ftp characters for this bracket but I really don't see a real reason to get involved in this "community"

Not really interested in getting in the middle of yalls pissing match but I did want to respond to this point

Yes. Emphatically yes. The bracket has not only changed but undeniably for the better.

It has less to do with consumables though and alot more to do with the lack of 29 premades. Vet premades are the new problem but honestly, there's always gonna be a "problem" and I'd much rather deal with a bunch of vets and nerfed enchants than getting globalled by some clueless 29 hunter who got a lucky proc.

The closer the gap between levelers and twinks, the better the games will be by definition. Not being one-shot cannon fodder for twinks makes levelers that much more viable as teammates.

And this patch closed that gap considerably. One can only hope in a patch or two they just decide to completely remove enchants from PVP altogether.

So It's better because it's easier for you f2p's, but is that not kinda a biased way to look at it. Looking at it as a whole it has not changed much for the "poor" levelers getting stomped just as hard as ever before. the only difference I can see is the consumables and that vets are now the new top dogs and that also feels better for f2p's.

And honestly hunters with the new epic weapons and the Attack power procs are not far from being able to globalsomeone. lightforged warriors/rets can also pretty much oneshot you with double crusader.

But yeah the ammount of 29 mm hunters on horde was pretty stupid.

I mean, I'm not a leveler but here's what I've noticed

Graveyard farms are almost non-existent and those that do happen are easy to break.

Games are undeniably closer. Both in score and in individual skirmishes that break out

BG chat is more game oriented and less "fuck it just let them win" or "oh they have 5 twinks, we lose".

And, anecdotally, I'm starting to see the return of *gasp* leveler premades. That's a really good sign.
