Good afternoon everyone,

I wanted to request some advice from the veteran community here for some basic and/or advanced strategies for flag carrying in 19s. Since my return to the community I've been making a solid effort to give every role I can a solid shot, and proper FCing has been on my list for quite some time.

Now, with the re-separation of XPoffers into their own queues, PuG games are much more enjoyable / better practice than they used to be and now more than ever I would like to push to become a solid runner so I can fill yet another role when needed for Wargames. I've already had a good look into the guides, but I didn't find a dedicated runners guide so I figured I'd ask my friends here. Any advice you all can offer would be generously received and acknowledged. I will be running on my Horde and Alliance druids: Cowboyboots and Divalla.

What I know so far:
-Have observed some excellent runs / strats in games from Pizza, Ripduck, Mvq, Letto, and others.
-Have FCed a handful of times on my druids pre-2nd separation in resto (primary FC spec).
-Limited practice in PuG XPoff/XPon games, which is not a good representation of competitive games at all.
-Scroll clicking is as useful as it always has been for flag clicks.
-Avoid pickup without Dash. Sometimes this is unavoidable.
-Stay within LoS for heals, but do not stand directly next to healers in case of enemy multi CC (Psychic Scream, War Stomp, etc).
-Always refresh HotS when safe.

What I would specifically like more info on:
-Preferred talents depending on team comp / meta (Have been using Prosperity).
-Midfield positioning when running or holding with team.
-Roof hover timing in regards to having to sneak a solo run out of enemy base.
-Tips/tricks for sneaking in self heals (aside from fading the kick).
-New legal jumps for Wargames beneficial to FCs.
-Recommended defensive positioning when base hovering (with / without pocket healer).
-New FC set goals with the recent loot changes.

Anything helps, thank you in advance community!

-Knight.

use famous @Mvq tactic, swiftness potion

watch twitch.tv/mvqq and do the opposite and you'll get there in no time.

I wouldn't trust @Mvq casters of twink cup literally have said that another fc pulled an Mvq when they run into the whole enemy team and die.

Kind of sad that people aren’t taking this more seriously but I think you should just take it upon yourself to seek out these players and see if they’re willing to give you advice in private, you’re more likely to have a valid convo that way since no one will be there to judge or troll their responses

Speed pots
3rd wind pots
Gliders

gg you're now as good/if not better than @Ohjustgreat
I love how people hate on me for using items that are in the game and if you dont use them then its your fault. Obviously I don't use them in wargames considering they cant be used in wargames. Also like I've mentioned 300 times I'm not even a FC main.

Yeah, I kind of knew there would be some trolling but I was hoping to at least get one or two real responses I could use before going to DMs.

As you can see this thread is already derailing into an unrelated topic like the others

just do rlly complicated strats like @Mvq and make the game 1000x harder for yourself. Then, when u lose, tell the opposing team that they had a much easier job than you and that ur a genius and ur life is so hard!
[doublepost=1553713449,1553713297][/doublepost]oh and blame everyone else but urself (that's the most important)

Just dm me about this I don’t fc but I can put you on a path towards some answers

on a real a lot of it is spam checking BGE - careful with ur trinket - dont leave bear after 6 stacks - dont dash if rogues are in stealth unless u can see that some1 is sapped so u know where ALL rogues are - get to ur team, and then making the decision on where to stand based on where the enemy team is and telling ur team what you need with you to live.

Thanks Q! The flag debuff stack info is particularly helpful as I was wondering about where the sweet spot was with perma Bear Form. When you FC what do you usually like to pull with you when home-base hovering? I was thinking resto shammy for their ability to move with you and drop down Earthbind in a pinch. I feel like in a lot of cases you want as much of your team in mid control or pushing FC position at all times so as much as you can limit your entourage the better (enemy comp pending of course).

if the enemy comp is real, for example when mvq queues on ally and gets bad comps he usually tells his survival hunter and anything else that wont cross mid to efc to come back, and send most if not all stealthies on O.

if you want real advice just watch hb/pizza or try get in contact with them, the other players on your list aren't great FCs

mvq throw a ridiculous amount of caps
dunno who letto is

hb is easily the best fc this bracket has seen
pizza had to literally babysit darkchewie fcing through 2 twink cup wins while also playing his own role in the team

sure if you're a new player anyone with some games of experience on FC will be able to teach you stuff, but it's better to seek out the best from the get go or else ppl like mvq will teach you bad habits
