Bracket Consolidation Vote - Part 2

Where should we make our new home?

Results are in...and 70-79 won the consensus for being the most viable to revitalize for the purpose of getting queues to pop outside of wargames. Yes, this is a "tall order;" it will also take some time to get off the ground. So what are the next steps? First, community and guild building. Who currently has active guilds in the 70s bracket? Can anyone share a link to 70-79 communities? Which faction has the majority of players so we can try to create balance?

Also, seeing as 49s were not so far behind, and voting numbers indicate that if everyone made toons in the brackets they voted for they might both be viable. Because of this, my personal plan is to start get working on my 79, then possibly leveling an alt for 49s...more options for more games. Will it work? only time will tell. Hope to see many of you there!

it should be entertaining to see the 70s whining about anyone who might decide to ignore the implied meta and make a 79
 
Why do 79s get so much hate from 70s? I’ve seen the animosity, but don’t understand the cause.
 
How exciting. I’ve got alliance 79 Druid and Priest, working on a rogue (lv 55ish). Leveling is really fast now with the new races out everyone seems to want to level alts. Haven’t done any premade bgs since the patch- just been working on gearing. Always down to help set something up.

People being weird. Mad because they can’t beat a 79 as a 70 I presume.

Because, especially right now, pvp is not the only thing to spend your time doing without instant ques. So in between games and groups it’s nice to be 70 for dungeons and raiding which allows for a lot more diversity of activity’s in the bracket. And I sent all the info you’re asking for in pms

Largest 70 guild atm I know of, current plans are a proggression raiding roster with another guild and to organize horde vs alliance war games. Right now it’s mostly arenas and 5 mans

looking for my 70-79 toons to lock and see how long queues are....hope to see yall in there. or it will be back to the end game then eventually out from being bored with end game gear grind. :(

I wish I could do some PvE. But I spend my time standing by the xp on/off guy....

Why did they make it only 2 options for voting? 40-49 and 70-79. I coulda swore 59s got just as many if not more votes. Kinda confused

59 received less votes than both 49 & 70 if I am correct.
(It would have been smarter & more accurate if the poll allowed only* 1 choice instead of 3)

59 is by far the most realistic bracket though; As it is currently thriving & the hype has encouraged plenty of rerollers. Personally, I believe that we should be recommending players to be multi-bracket instead of 1-tricks...
 
Absolutely. 59’s has daily 10v10 War Games from 10pm to 1 or 2 am eastern every single day... sometimes up to 15v15, with a few more players we could have insta q bg’s daily. We have a cross faction chat and most players have twinks on both sides to balance teams. I mean, how is 59’s not the clear choice??

Apparently not enough of the website is interested in 59. This is the problem with limited exposure to this site. This is why we need to promote the website

I think 59’s is a newer bracket which evolved quickly during a time when XPOff and xpon had bg’s together so there was wasn’t much of a need to find community in outside websites. Unlike other brackets that may have already had to deal with in game xpoff separation. So most 59’s don’t post or read forums... but they DO love Twinking and show up daily to play their twinks.
I think eventually the real issue isn’t gonna be which bracket... 59’s obviously, but do we bg or wg? I personally love using my alchemy, my tailoring nets, gliders etc... but there are those “elitists” who prefer the advantage their class affords them in a battleground without consumables. They feel unsafe when a warrior has a long range root and they can’t easily kite them... or they get frustrated when that priest can boost away and they can’t easily pin them. Or that hunter that can keep healing... Anyways. I vote 59’s because of the amount of activity we have plus the playability of the toons that level. I can’t deal with a 3 button 19.
I also vote we try to get standard bg que’s going again and use war games to start of the eveneings until we have enough people on to standard battleground. The point of this effort imho is to regain what blizz recently took away from us. Which is get online, que up and play. I don’t care if it’s against 15 elite twinks or 15 levelers... I wanna play my twink and pvp.

I don’t see how 59s are “obviously the bracket” they are popular now, but there are more overall twinks in many other brackets
 
I mean. You can have a million twinks in other brackets. If not 10 can show up and play.... I’ll take the bracket that has the 10 that show up and play every night. Seems obvious to me, I dunno. Maybe you can post something here today about another bracket and tonight you’ll have bg’s running all night in said bracket. Maybe you’ve got pull like that. Go ahead and give it a go bro. ;)
