Possible drops from rares

Where would be the best place to farm or get some 2handers for my warrior at 19? D:

https://www.wowhead.com/item=6327/the-pacifier is a relatively low-respawn rare and is known to drop epics

https://www.wowhead.com/item=5423/boahns-fang is a possible rare upgrade, but the respawn is like 8-48 hours or something stupid. Might be worth parking a (stealth) 19 there to check every so often - but the pacifier is the one to camp. Also I haven't seen any epics from it yet.

Also, I've rolled a lot of things that people have found over the past few days into the quick start guide: https://xpoff.com/threads/19-quick-start-gearing-guide-bfa.79275/page-8#post-1154004

The pacifier can scale to 19 as well?

Find a group doing it, everyone gets loot. Maybe someone looking for shoulders will trade if you both get the wrong drop.

Went there but no rare :( i guess that will be fun to farm..

I think its got a 1-2 hour respawn timer. Park a 19 there and do something on your other monitor. But yeah - its going to take a bit and the current estimates for an epic upgrade are 2%-5%.

After the initial rush of people farming their own gear, I expect there to be plenty of people farming these to sell. May take a few months, but if you have gold and don't want to farm - that'll probably work in a bit.

Unless blizz changes the rules (when do they ever do that?) eventually everyone will have some. Its already common.

Even foamspittle, which is miserable to grind, is common. Don't sweat anything yet.

Yup. Though its funny, I would consider foamspittle to be the easiest and most common grind. The two hillsbrad ones aren't bad with 1-2 hour respawns. I haven't looked at some of the others (8agi sword/dagger, leather chest/pants, etc) yet.

Well, from my perspective as a solo grinder, the rare spawns are easiest. Got a handful of pacifiers, couple chests... the grinding normal mobs looking for a miracle takes the interest right out of me tho. And that damn thistlenettle.

Still nothing but worms and linen. THAT is an absurd grind....

can someone make a class specific list please? start with hunter kthanks

I'm updating the quick start guide currently. For hunter, foreman legs are good. Some of the leather options (chest/legs) might work too. You can go glass cannon with feathered headdress, foreman legs, and boulder shoulders. Survival dual wield will probably see some of the swords/daggers if its even viable after ele force nerf.

@necroaqua are you going to add just the BOE items in the Gearing Guide or also the possible Epic upgraded BIS quest items?

Only the BoE farmable ones. For quest gear, theres just too many and the list will be like 30 items long for each slot, and most of them won't apply to people with the low upgrade chance. So for questing - just do all the quests and see what you get and compare it to the other options. If people have questions or aren't sure if something is an upgrade, its probably better to ask on a case by case basis.

I think a compromise between that might be highlight the quest reward items that are significantly stronger than any other option. Examples would include Fallen Apprentice Robe, Hand of Argus Crossfire, Harvester Boots, Soothsayer Vest.

Obviously if you add all of them you'd be there for ever, and the list would be arbitrary / ridiculous. But there are a few that people making new characters / new to the scene should know about and consider targeting when they make their char.

Its still ultimately random and most twinks will simply be unable to get it - so I'm not sure that I want to include it in the main gearing section. A separate section might happen with notable options - especially the items that might be interesting for people who are making new twinks and considering rerolling. Not something I'm going to add in my current wave of updates, but a possibility for the future.

The last thing a new twink needs to see is information overload with a bunch of items that they will be dissapointed to not be able to obtain. The best solution IMO would include a link in your guide to a thread that includes these notable items (as said above, like sooth vest and Defias bracers). Certainly include the BoEs ones as they are all fairly easy to obtain. Great job @necroaqua

thanks! ive parked him at the yeti cave but competition is fierce lol. always 2 or more 19’s there. same with murlocs and the reavers so im wondering if it’s possible to “realm hop” to less populated servers by grouping with toons say on a RP server? i ask because i was able to complete an AGM this way when everyone and their mom was trying to get that cheeve.
