Haven't seen him live but hes hilarious in shows, interviews, and guitar clinics. He used to do the vocals for Steve vai and then he had his more aggressive other project before his Devin Townsend project. Hes like buckethead, in that hes silently done like 30 albums.

He's Canadian too! Classy guy :D

Also liked your post because I've actually heard of 2/3s of those bands

ye. JID, Jrock, Kdot, few others I could have mentioned. Tom macdonald is an inquired taste - lots of corny stuff from him but he really does have good messages in his music. Really like "sad rappers" that just came out the other week
