So, in light of the recent announcement, I'd like to know who's planning on sticking around. On the one hand, this makes queuing whenever we want functionally impossible for nearly all brackets. On the other hand, I think most people who were around the last time we had split queues can agree that those were some of the best games and also the best time for the community in terms of really banding together to make things work.

So who's sticking around, and what's your plan? What bracket will you be playing, and how do you intend to make it work? I know there are some brackets that just don't have the critical mass of players to make a scheduled game night happen, but there are others that do... So how will you proceed in light of the changes?

I plan on sticking to 39s, as I have been in that bracket since WotLK and I LOVE it. That being said, I will also make a vet 20 so as to continue to get my 'fix'. I believe just as my boy @Swoops indicated that the new community feature 'should' allow for better/easier organizing of queues.

It's all about your perception folks. If you believe the sky is falling, then it is. Either you leave and contribute to the problem of dying brackets, or you stick around and contribute to its' success.

Simple solution is to stay involved. Thanks @Tzvetan for creating this thread to commitment! Sign me up! FOR THE ALLIANCE!

Well, I am pretty sure my favorite bracket(80's) will die. I would rather have aids than play in the steaming sh1t pile 19's again. I will do like I did before and que and pray for 39's to pop. Maybe since we do have the community feature we can keep 39's going. After all, I do love even games with twinks on both sides. I do know that as soon as the next expansion hits, it will die too when everyone starts playing new content. That's what happened last time anyway. When games stop happening, I will quit playing eventually. So, 39's it will be for now unless I hear about a higher bracket with more life.

I'd think 1 cuz generally whoever loses quits.

Well, hopefully it'll be like WotLK/Cata 49s, where everyone had characters on both sides, so we could adjust teams and get balanced, competitive games. That was probably the most fun I've ever had playing this game. So we'll see what happens.

@Sun @DigitalChemyst Are you thinking a game night or two is in the cards for 39s?

Right now there is still enough life in the bracket to organize around, so yes. Ideally two nights would be best, so I will ask around and see what people's general schedules will look like. Right now my best guess would be 1 week night and 1 weekend.

@Warglave I don't disagree--but that's going to be a problem no matter what, because some people just suck ;) But as long as people are around to help gear, teach tactics, and be patient, we can hope for some success.

That sounds a lot like cata, if I recall. And im not being negative - I enjoyed some too.

The problem was that not everyone was welcome. Elitists self-destructed their own revival... many times.

Really? Less than 24 hours since brackets were separated and you're already starting with this garbage again?

More than anything, 39 revivals were temporary because it was a small group of players doing a lot of work to keep them going, and there weren't a ton playing in general. Once people started taking nights off, they'd fizzle out a bit. Your ideas of 39s (in MoP/WoD especially) were very warped because you mostly experienced them on the forums.

This is an opportunity for a fresh start. There are a ton of new (and old) people involved in twinking right now, and we shouldn't have to deal with two of the biggest (and totally uncontrollable) things that helped "kill" it last time, battlegroups separating the playerbase and bugged queues in Cata.

sorta imbetween "quest out my 20s and see if I get enough epics to care" or "quit entirely (or as long as I can) and get back to drawing and other hobbies that are productive"

I've had some solid 10-15min ques today on my 29 even after blizzard seperated xpoff and xpon players. The ques times will be fine and it will be more competitive now which equals more fun. So stop whining in these shitty threads and que up.

The bigger problem to me is that Blizzard implemented the Casino Roulette RNG Machine into lower lvls which makes gearing a clown fiesta.

Maybe the bigger problem to you is that you can't one shot levelers anymore

Ok. But how is it "a lot of work" when dozens becomes several becomes.... not enough for a single game?

It's a BG queue, not digging a foundation out of bedrock. When people don't get pushed away, there's always enough for games. All the revivals I remember started hot, then some would lose interest and some would have interest taken from them.

The second one is the problem i'm referring to. As soon as you (elitists) start telling people not to play you lose.

There might not be a problem for lower level brackets like yours, but for brackets like 100-109 or 110, queue times are endless. I can't think of anyone that I've queued with that likes to "one shot levelers". I certainly don't, it's boring, and serves no purpose and is what got us into this problem in the first place, I'm more upset about the queue time problem that we're once again faced with. Setting up wargames can be a pain because of the number of people that may or may not be on, which means you can't always get games, which ruins the twink, IMO.

I've met a lot of people so far in the 80-89 twink bracket, but now it's a 2+ hour que. What is the most popular twink brackets right now?

The reason why he's talking about 29's though is because this bracket is the main group of people where you find the most people complaining about the change, and it isn't even hitting us as hard as maybe 39+. You're gonna have people that weren't around in cata etc. that are gonna cry "the brackets dead" before even looking at the bigger picture.

Sure, the game doesn't have nearly as many subs as it used to, but some brackets will get up to speed once everyone finishes their questing frenzies and when more people who want twink v twink bgs discover about this change that wasn't even announced.

Your best bets are going to be the lower brackets--19, 20, 29, and 39--but even some of those aren't going to get games without some scheduling.
