I am a lvl 19 Twink, XP eliminated and I completed every quest there is to do at my lvl. before the patch. This means I will not be able to obtain upgraded quest drops to Rare or Epic in this way. This change gives an unfair advantage to players that have not completed any quests.

We'll have to see what can proc from "rares". For the most part, the gear upgrades are going to be too random to be reliable. Lots of quest gear has bad secondaries. Most slots won't change things too much - a few extra stats here or there is mostly just nice. At 19, its going to be the weapons that matter. Specifically melee weapons, because of the importance of weapon damage.
If dungeon drops or world BoEs can proc to epic, then it makes things farmable at least. But ultimately its bringing the bullshit RNG rat race that endgame has turned into, and brought it down to the twinks - where a lot of people are happy that they only need to update their character once or twice an expac and maybe set some lofty farming goals for super rare items.
So yay for purples at 19...but...

Thats not the point. You spent money on an item, as soon as you equip it you lose its value. Theres a reason people will pay 3 figures for a parachute cloak but nothing for a character with one equiped.
And if you looked at items in the last 14 years you'll learn BiS always changes. Some items come in and out.
If you bought an item thinking both BiS for life and that it would retain its value upon use you're a spud g.

First off all, I said that I invested in BoE GF'd/BiS items, not equipped them. And I planned to sell them this upcoming patch. Literally NO ONE expected an update like this, and it came out to the public literally 1 day before the patch release which leaves me with no time to sell the stuff or anything.

Not really gambling, just fucked over by blizzard. It's like investing 9mill on a spectral tiger and then the next patch blizzard makes a free quest for everyone to get a spectral tiger for free. An extreme comparison but you get my point.

Blizzard doing this change is forcing twinks to reroll classes, making you spend longer on WoW. They also want to increase sub count by making it more alluring for people who quit to come back.

I'm so fvcking stupid and lazy that this change just made me decide to abandon all my 20s. The 80-89 bracket will be my new home now. Time to find out if there's any rare drops or quest rewards with sockets. Fvck I hope this gear doesn't proc sockets and tertiary stats too.

The notes say quest rewards. The notes do not mention satchel gear or BG crates.
