News 8.1.5 Patch Notes...classic-MOP items from rares can upgrade now!

Decided to test this on my 39 warrior as I hate questing and never turn anything in. Turning in the quest 'Challenge Overlord Mok'Morokk' which rewards me a Duskwallow Impaler gave me the following results. Out of eleven turn ins I only achieved one upgrade from blue to epic. Please see spoiler for comparisons. Upgraded epics from blue will scale from ilvl 45 to 51.

Seems pretty significant. Unfortunate.

I was just farming cudgel of naralex on my 59 since he was already parked there and i did about 18 runs and got it upgraded only two times but no epic.

I got an epic Cudgel of Naralex proc on my 29 during my first turn in test with Visual being right next to me.

Greens to epics confirmed boys.

I think chance is compounded from green to blue to epic

Wow never in a million years would I have thought something can top legion pre-patch rng. But it's happening

At least it won't be a one-time thing. Hope you've kept a few quests available.

Seems if you have invasion gear your still ok. 3 ilvl difference between epic proc and invasion gear at 29. Some will go through the headaches of farming those ilvls, some it isn't worth it. Nice screen shots and updates btw.

on the bright side, allied race vets look real appealing. roll toon, quest for item, dont get, reroll. Minimal time lost.
Honestly I'm just going to grind boars on a fresh toon and do everything at 20. You should be able to get a decent set of epics that way. The biggest issue is the lack of secondaries on beginning quests.

I feel like you get a toon and go for the weapon right off. If you get that, fill in the rest with random epic/blue upgrades and call it good. If you dont, scrap it and reroll.

multiple quest chains with multiple weapons, unless you're trying to be super specific.

Dunno bout yall but i know what im gonna no life every sunday from now on.
Yall thought 1 lucky fishing hat was bad, how about 10? :´D

Only reason I geared 29s recently was to be done with it and Q wsg

This might make me quit twinking. They already force pvp players on a hamster wheel for bis pieces at 120.

My personal questions:
1) What counts as unique items dropped by rares?
2) How much is the proc chance from Uncommon to Rare and Rare to Epic?
3) How much is the power increase from Uncommon to Rare and Rare to Epic?

I'm starting to miss the joyful simplicity of Legion's twinking, but I can laugh at this mad arms race. Won't abandon main, so if you also aren't, let's rejoice!

I've tested world rares. It appears that rare-specific loot can proc upgrades. That includes green items that are specific to the rare.
