EU 80 Hunter gear

if you are thinking of a hunter in 80, you may want to consider investing time in 99 or 109 instead .. i finished re-gearing an 89 hunter a few weeks ago, basically still the socketed gears, 89 will be from DS .. and having hunters in almost every brackets, i felt so inadequate playing the 89 after spending the past few months in 99 and 109 hunters .. the Double Tap at lvl90 is so required .. different hunters have different expectation, for me, i like to do super burst and kill someone in the shortest possible time and 89 and lower cannot do that .. i was so extremely irritated by blizz with the lvl89 (was then 85), the gun that i spent gold from BMAH turns to junk .. the 2 496 trinket that were hard to farm turns into junk .. yeah .. i will just look at my 89 once a while, but not gonna touch it for a while

I wouldn't listen to this guy saying hunters are bad.
Double tap is 100% not needed to 100-0 someone in a matter of a few seconds.

Check out this 80 hunter I've vsed in bgs multiple times, he's pretty much bis.
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/spirestone/Bloodseeker

he's crit me for 5.8k aimed shot crit Into a 1.7k arcane shot crit in the same global which is pretty much someone's entire health bar or very close to it with only 2 abilitys.
Pre sure marks is by far the best hunter twink in the 80 bracket from what I've seen, the aimed shot into arcane shot when your decked hits like a train..
Hope this helps :)

even if he is mm, his gearing is far from bis .. i have 4 twinks 101-109 and 3 twinks 99 hunters .. excluding all other brackets total over 20 hunters .. this hunter Bloodseeker-Spirestone has 20k HK/honor lvl 26 .. he is a fairly new toon .. a mm hunter thats lvl80 and higher should not be using 5 agil 5 crit gems .. he can crit you at 5.8k .. what if he doesnt crit ? he cant kill you with 2 shots ? at 99 and 109, mm hunters' aim is to kill an opponent, without putting chance on a crit, under a total 5-6 seconds .. without double tap, there is a chance the opponent will lives .. you are assuming double tap is a stand alone ability .. it doubles rapid total dmg, and if you double your mastery by more than 2x, thats essentially increasing dmg by 50%, another 30% increase from saltwater, before launching rapid under double tap, it gives you no less than 20K dmg .. how many player has 20k health ? if the victim doesnt goes into immune, he dies 100% of the time in under 6 seconds, and this is done at 67 yards or further when the first ability used is sniper .. well over most player's 40 yard offensive range

Imagine crutching on salt water lmao. Stop acting like you're some all-knowing hunter god. At lvl 80 5 agi 5 crit gems are still going to be the best, only 85+ has access to +7 mastery or +7 agi ones. Also, lvl 80 hunters are more than viable, even my 60 is hella fun and i can 2-shot without mastery as MM, lol. Surv is good aswell, BM is alright. I feel like BM really needs the spirit beasts to work properly.
@ryan1239 is completely right in his post. I *think* you can get better belt/boots but other than that he's pretty solid. With the nerfs coming to Incendiary ammo in 8.1.5 i'd try to go for https://www.wowhead.com/item=47568/true-aim-long-rifle&bonus=4136 since it's going to get it's ilvl buffed to 113 and because of that, become stronger than https://www.wowhead.com/item=50733/falinrush-defender-of-quelthalas.
Can't get his secondary ring anymore, so I'd go for a https://www.wowhead.com/item=44039/signet-of-bridenbrad. You could also opt for https://www.wowhead.com/item=32508/necklace-of-the-deep for a 2-slot neckpiece.

Thanks for help.
Right now i'm using necklace of the deep, I currently having Loque spirit beast =).
Bloodseeker's agility seems super low to me.

classic pet choice! :) spirit mend is really nice, saved my ass plenty of times. And yeah idk, i'd imagine you could get over 600 agi easily without sacrificing the crit gems

Go ahead and explain to the jury how he obtains that much mastery before 8.1.5. 80 gear cannot be gemmed with the epic cata mastery gems and the rare ones arnt really that good. Heroic pieces allow for the rare gems but again, it’s not a large enough gain to lose that much main stat. Now when the new patch comes out he will be able to gem with his gear set full mastery, which will then make it easier for him to obtain the secondary’s you are talking about. But since 102 is the max ilvl for everything at 80 with sockets besides older mop boes and the alch trinket. 50% mastery vs losing 60+ agility and losing out on 20% + crit and other secondary’s is not worth it in this bracket at 80.

Mate, I never said anything about mastery? If that 80 hunter was 85 with full ds gear and agil/mastery gems he would hit even harder.
He has 40% crit dude, obviously most of your hits are gunna be a crit lmao.
Once again, 100% no reason to level to another bracket.. for what? A 1 min cd? Yeah cool I'll just one shot people every minute.
Mate your logic is flawed here once again... you don't really have to RELY on a crit if you have 40% crit my dude...
26k honorable kills means he's a new player? LMAO you can tell this kid knows nothing... please explain how hks mean something? You have more hks than that hunter yet obviously you know less about twinks/hunter twinks so what does that say for you?

Even my warrior , https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/frostmourne/Topdmgbemad

Almost completely bis, 2011 strength with all procs.. 638 attack power without any procs... i completely dominate in the 80 bracket, are you trying to say my twinks are bad or I don't know how to twink because my 85 war only has 1k hks?
Lmfaooo.

Starting a US horde 80-89 community if anyone is interested. Seems to be lacking on the US side, unlike the EU. Add Nicana#1698 for invite.

Hunter's are literally the most OP in this bracket, and one shots no matter you crit or not. Hitting 20 kills is a stroll in the park.
