US Good server to “start fresh” on as Alliance?

I’m sick of having characters across a handful of servers, not being able to utilize the mailbox for anything non-BoA, gold spread too thin among characters, etc. I’d like to consolidate down to a single server and want to know what you think would be the best server to do this for an Aliiance player in this bracket. I’m most concerned with having a good population, economy that’s not utter nonsense like some of the AHs I’ve seen, and maybe even have some other non-toxic 29 Alliance players around. Any thoughts?

I’ve always been Alliance and most everyone I know plays Alliance, so I’m not interested in hearing about how they suck right now, it’s pure leveler trash, etc. I’m aware of the state of this bracket and would rather try to correct the disparity than make it worse.

I would say Bleeding Hollow for the simple convenience of being on the same server as a huge majority of the twinking community, but that realm suffers from outrageous Auction House Pricing, and most likely a higher average of toxicity, due it being the go-to twink realm.

The ones I would suggest are Aerie Peak, and Dalaran. Aerie Peak was known in the past to be a pretty big Alliance Twink realm, and Dalaran has a surprisingly friendly economy for building up new twinks. Plus @Keeshan's Guild is recruiting on Dalaran (I can invite) where I am pretty close to finishing a 29 Warrior.

I don't consider spending anything less than 100k gold per Twink unreasonable, so below maybe distorted if you think otherwise:

After the patch the AH market DIES for the 29 bracket... make no mistake. You do have a handful of people trying to control things right now, but again... its for things that you don't really need to make your twink work. +7+10 gloves for 500k are not going to make you good... or 20g for +6+9 with the same enchant is going to work just fine. You can just pick up the better ones over time as the snipers miss them in the AH... and again, after the patch... who cares, better will be available and the people trying to control things will lose interest as their time/profit ratio goes into the toilet.

On BH also, players like TGOD that try to control the gear pricing don't have the resources to control things that actually matter for big baller money like the trade-goods/consumable market, BH is just too big to do that, so you don't suffer there at all. You can max Engineering AND Alchemy for 60k gold TOTAL on BH... I have done it several times using the correct BFA guides.

And as far as enchants go... just befriend find people who have them and don't rely on the AH.

It just depends on what you are looking for... if you can play your character and are generally a pleasant person, you should be able to find 5 man pickup games all day long. If you just want to consolidate all your resources for that purpose ONLY then BH probably is the best place... but, again even the 29 guilds here are not overly active... it's more about who you befriend (man that word sounds silly)... "I shalt befriendith thee!, the royal request hath been sent!"

*** Again it depends also if you are a "consumables person"... gliders, lesser invis, speed pots, bronze mortars, third wind potions, saltwater, free action, etc... that stuff does cost money no matter what server you are are on, so don't expect those costs to just magically "go away".

I guess I’m just a casual, above-average player. I think the most gold I’ve ever had at one time since I began playing in 2007 was like 60k, so I suppose by WoW standards, I’m “poor”. Then again, as you mentioned, it’s not too hard at all to get Wrecking Ball every other BG with minimal investment, so I suppose I don’t particularly care to be stupid rich and spend hundreds of thousands of gold for super min/maxing.

I do find the love/hate for Bleeding Hollow interesting though — it’s pretty polarizing.

Too many people think that gear is going to make you good. 29s are just not about that right now... you just need HP and Versatility to be able to at least take Burst damage from the teir 1 classes, that is about it. I'm not saying you can wear garbage, but 95% BiS with a good enchant like +11 stam to gloves is going to work for you.

Again, if you think moving to BH is going to make your games better or something... it won't.

Battlegroups have been smashed for years, I will admit BH is a good server however. Even I was there at one time, if you are looking for other realms. I would suggest Dalaran, but then again, any realm will really work if you are willing to put out the forum posts and find the people who have what you need enchantment wise and such.
