EU+US Level 70 RBG Leaderboard Rule Votum

Should 70s players be allowed to queue for BG together with 79s?

  • Yes

    Votes: 18 56.3%
  • No

    Votes: 14 43.8%

  • Total voters
    32
  • Poll closed .
I think people would feel less targeted by this if there was something similar for 79s, but by only making one for 70s and then stipulating that 79s can have a negative impact on said 70 leaderboard, it creates an even bigger divide by the 2 twink types that (at the end of the day) have to play in the same bracket and vs eachother regularly. Sure, people can hate 79s, I really don't care - but that doesn't change the fact that you have to play with them.

I'd be highly surprised to see a 6 vote increase in a sides favour.
Possible though, I give you that.
Don't worry, because:
The votes count only from 70s who are actually involved. Everything else is not counted.

This means that my vote doesn't count for example, because I don't actually queue BGs. :)

Oh, how little I know, apparently :).

Healium after being called out for using alt accounts to vote on his own poll:

Paraphrasing:
Guys, I totally didn't just rig my own poll without realizing the voters were public! :D HAHA! I simply wanted to see if you guys would notice it! :) And the fact that you DID notice it is SO funny to me! ahahaha :D:D

Why does anybody care if you queue with 79s at the end of the day?
Even if you don't chances are you're going to go up against one on your '''''''journey''''''' to climb the '''''''ranking system'''''''.
Why not let them have fun while they play bgs? Are they somehow less entitled to enjoy the game they pay for?
It baffles me.

first and foremost im glad u made a site with an algorithm that keeps track of wins/lost, giving 70 twinks a leaderboard to look at
i tend to play my 79 more often than my 70 twink and the fact that i have just play my 70 twink to keep up with the score doesnt sound fun for me
and if what u said is true that if a 70 ques with a 79 then u can go right ahead and remove me from the leaderboard since most of my friends are 79 and im not gonna stop queing with them because of a website, my 70 twink is dokii-thrall warrior
at the end of the day its ur website ur rules, ur putting alot of effort in helping the community out with the website and i thank you for it unlike some people who wants to complain for the sake of complaining
also im happy rated was removed from lower bracket, best decision blizzard made :)

Thank you very much. Your feedback means alot but these rules arent only mine.

some people who wants to complain for the sake of complaining

Dismissing genuine criticism as ''Complaining for the sake of complaining'' is not only ignorant, but a large factor to why things people dislike never change.

its genuine criticism nonetheless but from my short stay in this website all i see is hostility from people when ever they see the chance to do so, just a problem with eu twinks i guess

I'd like to settle one thing now, for once and for all. I personally do not decide according to my well-being or how I got up this morning but according to the well-being and interest of the 70s or the participants. I ask in the round each season how long it should last, because I find everyone should decide that. The only thing I regret after the whole thing is that I acted too fast with the rule and didn't give it to the community to vote as well. I play so damn little WoW that I have none of it to punish 79s or 70s. On the contrary, I want to leave something for people to do with. If we go after the sense the whole game makes no sense. just that we sit at the PC and play wow is already senseless in life. Where I had the first season I played with a couple of BG players and wanted to get a picture of how it goes and if people like it. The balance was sad. Demotivated 70's on the Horde side while the Alliance with 570's and 2-3 79's is raking everyone. I had to act so I wanted to introduce this rule. Of course there are a lot of people who only want to play with 79s out of friendship and I don't mind, but if the other side suffers from it, which it does. Nobody can say it wouldn't be like that, then it's stupid. I apologize to you, my dear community members and 79s, for not letting this rule be decided beforehand.

While I can see why you'd think people are hostile overall, in my personal opinion on this thread it is pretty justified. The entire purpose of the thread was to make a poll / debate a point, and people haven't actually been too aggressive about it.

Whatever helps you sleep at night :)

I can see why it would be a concern, but surely there would be a way to just remove somebody if people repeatedly reported them for playing with a large number of 79 twinks? I fail to see how playing with 1 (or heck, even maybe two) of your 79 friends could destroy the entire infrastructure of the leaderboard.

I find it a bit odd that not a single person who is FOR segregating 70s and 79s like this has actually posted a well thought out argument in their favour, yet the vote currently stands at 7-11 for them (and I'm one of those 7, so I don't count). All we have is "some people complained in season 1".

I've seen @Dreams , @Fx, @Incinderella and probably @Mindmasterxd support playing together. Assuming they voted, that leaves 2 "play together" and 11 "don't play together" who haven't posted.

It's very easy to hide behind anonymity, apparently, when it costs you nothing and only hurts a small portion of the community that you're not a part of.

Oh yes, and while the rule is being voted on, the original rule is not valid to all those who don't want to play with the 79s because of this rule.

Call me pesimistic, but I doubt the vote for '''''''79 and 70 equality''''''' will win.
It'd be nice, yeah, but I really can't be bothered fighting a losing battle when I can just disregard the leaderboard and play to have fun.

Any alliance 79s or 70s every want to play, hit me up;
Pvpboy-ArgentDawn : char
Pelora#1893 : btag

To be honest, I think this is abit dump to ever ask right now when we are in mid of a season.
I'm 50/50 on it due This is only targeted to 70's due 79's don't ever have a Leaderboard & Lets be honest, The rules of this leaderboard stuff are abit hard to find for new twinks, 90% sure half of the leaderboard has played with 79's before.

Just a little Hint to Healium.
Add a rules section to the eliteguilds site. This will help new twinks who want join the leaderboard more known about the rules.
