US I no longer rep f2p.

I am sure no one gives a flying shit but ill say it anyways. I have recently levelled my feral to 29. I am officially 29 scum. I am done with the no enchants life. Ill still play veteran accounts but you will rarely catch me on a pure f2p. Sorry but with the way things are only masochists would play them or people without gametime. I began twinking as a pure f2p on aerie peak in the summer of 2011 that is where i am at heart but as things evolve for the better or worse i play 29s now. Also i know nobody gives a shit.

I no longer rep f2p or say i am one. Do i log in once in a blue moon on my pure f2ps? Yes.

You did the right thing to have 'some' fun.
Legion was the expansion for F2P. It was great to kick 29's and Vet's ass as F2P.
BFA as F2P PvP... No, thank you. There're better games around.

One thing I've learned from this masochistic addiction is that we all have our own definitions of 'fun.' Some of us are looking for cool little plays and moments and some of us are looking to make sure the other team has no fun at all.

For myself, the playstyle of the people in the bg tends to determine whether or not a match is a shitshow moreso than level and enchants. There are players who cause me to leave the bg before the gates open when I see their names because I know they'll be in the graveyard dumping on people, and there are names like yours who make me smile and think 'this will be fun.'

You do you and those of us in the lurking masses will be glad to have you there, regardless of bells & whistles.

There's a reason I keep a paid account around in addition to my F2P account. I don't mind grinding out some games on my F2P to work towards those honor rewards, but it's gotta get broken up every now and again with actually being competitive.

Now do yourself an even bigger favor and move up to at least 80-89 bracket... Trust me. If you have any sort of char at those levels just queue and try it. Nowhere near as broken as lower levels.

Welcome to the dark side!!

I was f2p in mop and it was honestly the most fun I've had twinking since wotlk. I think the gap between f2p and vet/29 increased when wod hit, with the addition of ring and neck enchants and the loss of gear scaling. I eventually went vet and I've stood it since.

I'm surprised you, and anyone else, stood f2p this long, but regardless, do what you find to be the most fun and enjoyable.

Is f2p*
Quits being f2p in order to be a 29 and make the bracket that much worse for f2ps*
enchants get nerfed*
gets ass kicked by f2p as a 29*

The real shame is I think F2P vs F2P would probably be the most balanced low-to-mid level bracket in the game.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but it seems like the ratio of damage to health pools, the spread of cc across classes and the lack of bracket breaking enchants would really make it awesome.

But instead we're trying to figure out ways to play around incendiary ammo crits and double crusader.

Trust me if f2ps had their own bracket thats where id play.

F2ps almost had their own bracket at the start of it all... All they did was roll in premades and play the most OPthing they could get their hands on.

They forget one thing. They're still twinks, they were made to roll levellers

Yeah I happily subbed my f2p account for BfA pre-patch. Definitely worth, kinda wish I did it earlier since I'm stuck juggling rested XP on my older characters. Spending 5-15 bucks to upgrade from f2p to vet is great value, especially if you mostly solo queue.

I think pure f2p group queuing would be great right now, I wouldn't expect people to nerf themselves to do that though.

People will always drift towards the OP classes, for sure.

But I'd rather eat multiple lava bursts from f2p shaman than get hit with one flameshock and watch ele force chew up half my health bar.

One requires an error on my part and coordination on theirs. The other requires 200g and an auction house.

My point is they wanted to be the most OP thing around. When someone one up'd them they didn't like it.

I'm a bit out spoken about F2ps, but I don't know if you knew... I actually started the bracket as a F2p on AP. I started the bracket for better games, with no enchants and for a while it was. Then it became 10v10 hunters

I know, I've been beating this drum for a while: Starter Edition Mistweaver Monks and Discipline Priests hold their ground in a 1v1 fight against a twink rather well.

I did not know that.

But I had similar experiences in F2P. I remember the Korgath project, where they wanted to gather F2Ps on one server for arena wargames. But as soon as some folks started losing they started banning comps, and then banning heirlooms (but only for some classes!) and then banning even dungeon loot. Got to a point where folks were asked to equip only white vendor weapons for some reason.

That said, those arenas were alot of fun for a while. Even back then it felt way more balanced than any other twink bracket I had played in. Shame the community has kinda shrunk or it would be worth attempting that again
