EU+US Aurora vs. Quickblade - which do you prefer?

Wondering the groups opinion on this for the 20's bracket. Which class/spec should be using Aurora gear, and which should use Quickblade and why? As far as I know Fireflash is the weakest due to no versatility, so I'm leaving that out. Personally, I've usually gone for Aurora gear on most of my twinks, but I'm finding Quickblade can pack a punch if you have a good amount of crit.

Weigh in and let me know what you think!

I usually go with Aurora for anything that is a caster, or the class plagued by long cooldowns on their skills; i.e.: Paladin. Quickblade for melee classes, and those non-caster healers: Monks.

But I agree: Whenever I get a Fireflash suffix, I curse at my monitor.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I do like quickblade on balance druids. Getting around 33% critical hit chance can be extremely strong for both starsurges & dot ticks.

I used to go for the haste one, but i think at lower levels crit feels more important for arms warriors since it generates more rage rather than i swing my weapon 15% faster

Has anyone tried Quickblade on their Ret Paladin? I'm running all Aurora but wonder if the CD reduction is so great that using haste over crit is worth it.

From a Starter Edition player's perspective: stacking haste on a Paladin helps eliminate the few instances in which every single one of your skills is on CD. I imagine it's much better as a veteran. @Dcm might be a good person to ask.

Since crit is only 150% increased damage inside of bgs (as opposed to 200%) I don't really find it to be worth it. Haste isn't just beneficial to GCDs but it also gives less cast time on flash of light (a very strong offheal) and is beneficial to increasing auto attack speed for crusader procs, especially if you're running zeal as a talent

@Dcm crit is arguably the most valuable stat at the moment for classes that can use the brewfest trinket, having a mini crusader as a trinket can be very good, at the very least it is more effective than going aurora.

I mean I can definitely agree with you, but I'm just assuming that the person didn't obtain it when it came up last year, so it's technically "seasonally gf'd" for the time being

Edit: to add on, I also feel like it depends on how much crit % you can get in bgs for it to be fully effective. For someone like a rogue, or maybe even a warrior, I can see it being pretty solid, but paladins honestly have such few attacks that there isn't a whole lot to crit off of. Once again, I can see where you're coming from, but I feel paladins are a bit weaker in terms of having a few abilities to critically strike with.

Yeah you can only obtain it once a year.

It procs pretty consistently on my rogue and rogues don't usually stay out of stealth for prolonged periods of time. I cannot confirm for sure because I don't really play ret but I have a feeling it would proc pretty consistently as ret. This is mostly speculation though.

FWIW, Ive found that it pretty reliably procs exactly on its ICD
